The Magic (Devin Booker) -Audri-

Y'all wouldn't believe how many requests I have piled up to do. I'm trying to get through everyone as quick as I can! Please don't hate me! This one is for YounginKonfused ! I hope you like it because I loved writing it for you (:

-Audri's POV-

I was over at my best friend Vanessa's house, just chilling with her. I needed to tell her something really important.

"Aye, what's going on with you and Devin?"Vanessa asked.

I took a deep breath and announced,"We broke up."

"You what?!"she exclaimed.

I explained,"We still love each other... I know we do. But something was just really off while we were dating, and it was getting really awkward. We don't get along that well now. It's hard to explain."

Vanessa shook her head. "That's just plain weird. I don't get you two." I sighed,"It's complicated, Ness." "I can tell,"she mumbled.

"Can we not talk about Devin?"I requested. Vanessa said,"You should come over tomorrow night. We'll have a movie night." I replied,"Yeah, that would be fun."

She said,"I'll order us some pizza and everything." I grinned,"This is why I'm friends with you." I reached over and hugged her, making her laugh.

"I don't know why Devin would let you break up with him. You're adorable,"she commented. I shook my head, blushing a bit.

"I'm going to go home now,"I announced after a while. "Okay, text or call me later,"Vanessa said before I walked out of the house.

I had decided to walk to Vanessa's since I don't live far and the weather was nice. So I had to walk back home.

I was walking down the street when I saw a group of guys in the distance, walking in my direction. As I got closer, I noticed that it was Devin and some of his friends.

"Yo Dev, isn't that your ex?"one of them asked, laughing. I glanced at Devin, who looked hurt. "Yeah man,"I heard him say.

As I was walking by them, I put my head down. "Aye, Audri!"one of them called. I stopped walking, and I was standing in front of all the guys. "Hey Shawn,"I sighed, crossing my arms.

Shawn said,"Since you and Devin are through now, you should give me a chance." Devin shoved him. "Hey, leave her alone,"he warned.

I smiled sweetly at Shawn. "Oh Shawn. Kindly fuck off and let me go,"I said with fake sweetness. The boys laughed, pushing Shawn around.

Devin just kept trying to lock eyes with me. "I have to go now. Bye boys,"I said before walking away.

"Damn, she got a booty. Devin, you mad for letting her go,"I heard one of the guys say. I felt my cheeks heat up, but I tried to ignore it.

"Hey Audri!"I heard Devin shout. I turned around. The guys were all laughing. Devin probably just wants to embarrass me in front of his friends.

I just turned back around and continued walking to my house.

-Next Evening-

I drove over to Vanessa's house, ready for a sleepover. When I was there, I knocked on the door and Vanessa quickly opened it.

"Hey boo,"I said as I walked into her house. "You look pretty,"she complimented, closing the door behind me. "Aw, thanks,"I replied, blowing her a kiss.

I went to the living room and stopped when I saw who was sitting on the couch.

Devin fucking Booker.

"What are you doing here?"I asked. Devin replied,"I could ask you the same thing. Vanessa invited me over for a movie night."

I looked back at Vanessa, who just shrugged and smiled awkwardly. "The more the merrier,"she said. This girl...

"Well, I'm leaving now,"I announced, walking towards the door.

Vanessa stopped me, pulling on my arm. "Nooo! You can't!"she exclaimed. I looked at her, my jaw clenched. "I will not stay with him,"I spat.

Devin spoke,"Uh, Audri, could I speak to you?"

I turned around and looked at him, slipping out of Vanessa's grip. "We honestly don't have anything to talk about. Can't you just leave me alone?"

Vanessa said,"I have to go get the pizza I ordered. I'll be back in like 10 minutes." She quickly ran out of the house before I could say anything.

I started leaving too, but Devin ran up to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me back. I moved his hands away and looked at him. Seeing him so up close felt strange. I haven't looked him in the eyes like this since we were actually dating.

"Audri, please. Just talk to me,"Devin begged. I repeated,"We have nothing to talk about." "Yes we do,"he insisted, putting his hand on my cheek.

I pushed his hands away. "Don't touch me."

"Where did we go wrong, Audri? What happened that made you break up with me?"Devin questioned.

I answered,"You and I just didn't get along. The magic between us disappeared. Simple as that."

He said,"Look, I know you still love me. And I love you too. Don't act like we never had anything."

I started feeling emotional on the inside, but I wasn't going to let that show. I bit the inside of my cheek.

Devin put his hands on my waist again and this time I didn't push him away. I just looked at the ground. He tipped my head up with his index finger and looked into my eyes. "I know we can respark the magic,"he whispered.

Devin slowly leaned in and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. My lips tingled at his touch.

He pulled away and asked,"Did you feel that?" I nodded slowly, not being able to talk.

Devin smiled a little and went in for another kiss, this one a bit rougher. He squeezed my butt, causing me to gasp. He took that opportunity to stick his tongue in. I didn't dare pull away.

Devin's hands started roaming my body and soon he was slipping his hand into my panties. My breath hitched.

Right then, I heard a scream.

I quickly pulled myself away from Devin, even though my body didn't want to.

Vanessa was standing at the door with a pizza box, wide eyed. I looked at Devin, who just scratched the back of his neck.

Vanessa spoke,"It's cool that y'all are back together and all, but I don't want you two getting all intimate in my house. Go do that somewhere else."

I giggled softly. "Sorry Ness,"I mumbled. "Yeah sorry,"Devin repeated awkwardly.

"At least you two are together,"Vanessa sighed.

Devin looked at me hopefully. "Are we together?"he asked.

I smiled, nodding. "The magic has sparked once again."
