Something Is Going On (CJ McCollum) -Jessie-

Alright, so this one is for lovedevin18 /Luvdeivn18 (not sure which account you use) I had this whole one shot written down but I accidentally deleted it and couldn't get it back. So sorry it took a long time. But I hope you enjoy this! Be sure to tell me what you think (:

-Jessie's POV-

"CJ, come here,"I called from the couch.

My lovely boyfriend popped out of the kitchen. "Hey baby, you need anything?"he asked. I smiled,"Yeah, I need you."

CJ chuckled and sat down next to me on the couch. "Well I'm all yours then,"he said, hugging me. "You're so cute,"I complimented, pecking his cheek.

"Have I told you how much I love you?"CJ asked, cuddling him next to me. I smiled, replying,"Yes, every single day."

"You're the cutest girl ever,"CJ sighed, playing with my hair. I laughed.

"What's up with all this lovey dovey stuff today?"I questioned.

He shrugged. "I don't know. I just love you so much." "Aw, I love you too!"I cooed.

"You're coming to my game tonight, right?"CJ asked. I nodded. "Of course, baby. I never miss your games." "Okay, I just wanted to make sure,"he said.

"I'll wear a Lillard jersey,"I teased.

CJ glared at me. "Don't play me like that, Jess."

I laughed,"I'm kidding. Of course I'll be wearing my McCollum jersey. Gotta rep my sexy ass boyfriend."

He laughed and kissed me. "That's my girl." I grinned.

That evening, I got ready and met CJ downstairs. "Let's go beat the Thunder tonight!"I cheered, wrapping my arms around his waist.

He kissed my forehead. "Let's do it, baby,"he said.

We got in the car. While CJ drove, he looked really nervous. "What's up?"I asked, putting my hand on his arm.

He glanced over at me before resting his eyes on the road again. "Nothing Jess, I'm just a bit stressed."

"Why?"I asked. I just wanted to make sure he was okay.

"It's nothing. Just nervous about how everything's going to turn out tonight. It's fine though."

Before I could respond, CJ turned the radio on to drown out the silence. I sighed and sat back. I don't want to bug CJ too much. Hopefully he's fine.

Once we got to the arena, CJ asked,"You wanna come to the back?" I nodded,"Yeah, sure. I'll say hi to the boys."

We entered the arena through the back entrance. Damian Lillard came up to us when we were in the hallway. "Hey Jessie,"he greeted.

I smiled,"Hi Damian. What's up?"

"Just about to go get ready for the game. I need to speak to CJ alone for a minute,"he said. CJ and Damian walked off.

When CJ came back a few minutes later, I asked,"What were you two talking about?"

"We were just talking about the game tonight. It's a big one and we're all just nervous."

"You two couldn't talk about that around me?"I questioned.

CJ chuckled,"Jess, don't be like this. I promise everything's fine. Just give me a bit of time." I sighed and nodded. "Okay, fine,"I mumbled.

"I'm gonna go change now. Stay here though. I'll come find you when I'm done getting ready,"he informed. I nodded and he pecked my lips before walking into the locker room.

I waited around for him to come back. Once he was ready and walking towards me, Allen Crabbe clapped CJ on the back and hollered,"My boy got a big day today!" CJ just laughed and shook his head.

Okay, what is going on? Everyone seems super excited. I guess I'll find out soon enough though.

CJ walked over to me and kissed my lips. "Wish me luck baby,"he said. I grinned,"Good luck boo. You're going to kill it out there."

"I love you, Jess,"he mumbled, kissing me once again. I pulled away and replied,"I love you too."

I made my way to my front row seat and waited for the game to start. The players soon came out and started warming up.

When CJ came out, he immediately started searching for me. I waved at him to get his attention and his eyes met mine. I blew him a kiss and CJ just grinned like an idiot before starting to shoot the ball around.

My boyfriend is so damn cute.

Once the game started, I turned into a crazy fan. I pride myself on being a super supportive girlfriend, so you better believe I will be cheering as loud as I can for my boyfriend and his teammates.

The game was neck in neck, but I was confident that the Trail Blazers could win, no matter the circumstances. CJ looked a bit nervous near the end of the second quarter, but nonetheless he was doing amazing.

When halftime rolled around, I saw CJ standing in the middle of the court with a microphone.

What is this boy doing? Shouldn't he be in the back getting shouted at by coaches and preparing for the second half?

Soon his teammates joined him in the middle of the court. They were all smiling way too much.

CJ brought the mic to his mouth and spoke,"Aye, wassup everyone? I'm CJ McCollum, and I have something really important to do. I'd like my girlfriend, Jessie, to join me up here."

The crowd was buzzing with confusion. No one knew what was going on, including me.

A few of CJ's teammates walked up to me, to escort me to the middle of the court. Damian held out his arm and I linked mine with his, giggling.

As we walked, I asked,"What's going on?" Damian simply replied,"You'll see in a minute."

He unlinked our arms as we got near CJ. I stood right in front of him and asked,"Baby, what're you doing?"

CJ said into the mic,""Jessie, I've known you for 5 years now, and you've been my girlfriend for 4 of them. I'm so lucky to have you in my life because you just make everything so incredible. You're so supportive and sweet, and that just makes me fall in love with you every day. And how could I forget about how beautiful you are? I thank God every day for giving me you. I just want you to do one thing for me now. Just say yes."

I was already all teary eyed, touched by everything CJ was telling me.

The tears just started to flow when CJ got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. The crowd let out a collective gasp.

I covered my mouth as CJ asked,"Jessie, will you make me the luckiest man alive and marry me?"

I nodded, not being able to speak. I was all emotional and shocked at what had just happened.

"Is that a yes?"CJ chuckled nervously. I choked out,"Yes! Yes, yes, yes! A million times yes!"

The crowd erupted. CJ stood up and slipped the ring on my finger. I hugged him, trying to control my crying. CJ pulled away from the hug and kissed me.

"Okay everyone, give it up for CJ and Jessie! The soon to be husband and wife!"Mason Plumlee shouted, allowing the arena to explode with cheers.

I laughed, hugging CJ once again. "I love you so much, Jess,"he mumbled into my hair. I looked him in the eyes and said,"I love you so much, CJ."

Damian interrupted our cute little moment by asking,"I get to be your best man, right CJ?" "Get out of here,"CJ laughed, pushing him away. I giggled, shaking my head.

As I looked at CJ, I wondered how I got so lucky. I am going to marry the man of my dreams. I must be the luckiest person in the world honestly.
