"So where did you guys go last night?
"Urrmm ... I don't think that's your business Carmen!" I retorted.
We were sat on a picnic blanket eating lunch and everybody was very curious as to what happened last night. Unfortunately, neither Mike or Mai Lee were there to stop the questions from coming in.
I don't know about Ryan, but I wasn't going to say anything.
"Was it something to do with Ryan holding your hand yesterday?"
"Floss!" I shouted, causing the girl to jump.
"What? I saw you do it when we were about the leave!"
"Ooh, Marie and Ryan sitting in a tree..."
"Shut up or I'll slap your face Carmen!"
"And then we didn't see you until today!" Jody added.
"Look guys, it honestly has nothing to do with you so just keep your noses out otherwise I'll strangle you with a guy rope!"
"Ryan" Tyler snapped. "Control your girlfriend"
"We're not going out and he's not my boyfriend. I'm not his girlfriend!" I butted in, not letting Ryan answer.
"Yeah not yet." Tee said.
"Uuurgh!" I moaned in frustration.
Then Tyler spoke up again, this time it pushed me over the edge.
"Oops" he said "somebody's on their ladies days!"
"I'm gonna kill him!" I shouted lunging at the boy only to be held back by Ryan who wrapped his hands round my waist and arms so that I couldn't move.
"Get off me!" I screeched at him.
"Tyler" he said, ignoring me completely. "I'de leave if I were you."
Tyler ran off, probably to tell Mike.
Ryan let go of me and I ran into the tent before lying down on my back.
After a while, I heard Ryan enter the tent and speak through the door.
"Don't worry, Tyler didn't snitch."
I unzipped my side of the tent letting him in.
"What are you sulking around for?" He asked as he sat beside me.
"Because now, everyone, including Bailey knows that we were holding hands."
"Floss has the biggest mouth in this place! So what?"
"So Ryan, once I was alone, Bailey was outside trying to flirt and all that."
Ryan clenched his jaw in anger making his jawline even cuter.
"So? Who cares what Bailey thinks?"
"I care Ryan!"
"Why?"
"Because I don't want to go out with Bailey!"
There was a long pause when I realised how loud I had just spoken.
"Would you go out with me?" Ryan asked quietly. "I mean...only if you want to...like...maybe the park or the .... The cinema or just anything really I don't mind and if you want we can..."
"Yes Ryan."
"What?"
"Yes I'll go out with you!"
"Seriously?"
"Unless you can give me a reason not too?'
"Course not."
"Well then that settles it."
"I knew you fancied me"
"Shut up Ryan." I said, playfully pushing him.
----------
After talking for a while, we decided to leave the tent, to avoid further suspicions.
The second I got out, I saw a face I really didn't want to see. Bailey."So Marie, how about you sit next to me at dinner so that we can..."
Ryan emerged from the tent behind me and said "give it a rest Bailey. You've lost."
Bailey furrowed his brow in confusion. "What are you on about?"
"It's true. I asked Marie out, she said yes"
Bailey looked directly at me. "Seriously? You're way out of his league you know that!"
"Corse I know it. But I still said yes, and that means your Ryan's official slave for three days."
Bailey looked down at the floor and Ryan stood there with a smirk on his face, and an arm round my waist.
