It had been a long time since anybody had spoken to me. Last thing I knew I was arguing with Ryan. Well it wasn't exactly arguing, but it wasn't really friendly either.

I'm just trying to understand this letter. This photo if of my actual parents and the ring really did belong to my mum. And my mum apparently wrote ma a letter but she is dead!

I put the ring, letter and photo back in the envelope and scanned the brown paper envelope for any hints as to this being fake.

I don't know what my mums handwriting was. I did notice that there was no stamp, meaning someone posted this themselves. Meaning they were in the area! Close enough to walk and post this through the door! It also meant they know where I live!

I started to cry again. My tears fell onto the envelope making some of the writing smudge.

Ryan then walked it. I quickly shoved the envelope behind my back and held it there as he sat next to me on my bed again. Like he was before. I hadn't even got up since last time.

"Can I help you?" I asked, wiping tears off my cheeks.

"You need to tell me what's wrong."

"I'm fine."

"No you're not. I know your not."

"I really am Ryan" I said avoiding eye contact, I just stared down at the floor.

He got up and I expected him to leave, but instead he crouched down in front of me and grabbed my hands forcing me to make eye contact with him.

"I'm here. I'm ready to listen. I'm willing to do anything for you. I'm just waiting for you to trust me..."

"And I'm fine!"

"No your not fine. Your rubbish at lying though"

"Wow thanks." I said getting up and heading towards the door.

"Where are you going?"

"To get some space. I'm sick of everybody being up in my face, always on my case. It's my life not yours so just leave it"

"But Marie...Marie stop!"

I ignored hike and swiftly made my way downstairs. I bumped into Carmen on my way.

"Do you mind?" She spat. I looked at her through my tears for a brief second before running downstairs and out the front door.

Ryan's POV

I stayed in the room for just a few seconds before going after her. I don't understand why she is acting like this. I've never seen her like this before.

I rushed out to see Carmen at the top of the stairs.

"Have you seen Marie?"

"What?"

"Have you seen Marie" I repeated.

"Yeah she bumped into me a few seconds ago..."

"Where did she go?"

"I don't know but she seemed really upset. Actually she was crying did you two fall out or something?"

"Carmen! Where did she go?"

"I think she went out the door. She's probably just in the garden..."

I shoved past her and started going down the stairs.

"Well you're welcome" I heard her sarcastically say from behind me.

I got outside and began searching through the garden. The twins were in the sandpit with Floss.
