Mike

Two showers in one day. Thanks for that Carmen.

I put on my black skinny jeans and purple t-shirt with a black and white flannel top over the top of it.

Much more my style. "Dinner!" Mai Lee shouted.

I went down into the dining room as everyone slowly piled in. Lasagne. Nice.

As I was eating I noticed a lot of people were looking at me.

"What?"

"What happened to the other outfit?" Carmen asked, clearly annoyed.

"Like I said many times Carmen, I didn't like it. You could have stopped any time but chose not too. Not my problem"

"It will be in a minute!" She said getting up and storming towards me with her fist in the air.

Ryan topped in front of me, so that she couldn't get to me.

"Back off Carmen what did Marie ever do to you?" He asked snidely.

"She...?"

"Carmen sit down" Mike ordered as he randomly came in from wherever he was.

Ryan also sat down, slowly, and began to finish eating his dinner.

After dinner we all went off to do our own thing until Mike called us into the lounge.

"Maybe Mikes won the lottery" said Jody.

"Like he'd tell us if he did" Bailey scoffed.

"Mike has not won the lottery" stated Carmen.

"Hey everyone. Thanks for waiting" announced Mike as he walked in, Mai Lee behind him. "So earlier today someone broke into my car..."

"Did they nick anything?" I asked.

"Yes they took my bag, which had some very important files in it. Files that shouldn't have been in my car so there's going to be an investigation..."

"By the police?"

"Not just that Sasha, I shouldn't have had this paperwork out of my office so my bosses are going to want to look at it as well. While they're doing that...I'm stepping down."

"Hang on!" I said. "What so you're leaving?"

"For the time being...yes"

"Mike you can't do that what are we supposed..." I was interrupted, as was everybody else.

"It wasn't his fault, someone broke into his car!" Tyler protested.

"It is my fault Tyler. I made a mistake. That's...that's why I think it's right to step aside"

"I shouldn't be so much trouble" I whined "I let YOU down."

"This isn't easy believe me. I don't know when I'll be back. But I know you'll all be ok because... ... ... Look after each other yeah?"

He left the room calmly. I ran out as well. I can't stand the thought of Mike being gone.

I went into the office where he was busy packing up his things.

"Mike?"

"You ok?" He said, peering over the top of his glasses.

"I don't want this Mike. I don't want you to go..."

"I know it's hard. But lots of the others look up to you, can I trust you to look after them for me? Keep an eye out for one another?"

I started crying a bit. He handed me a tissue and I cleaned myself up. I left him to finish packing and went into the kitchen where everybody was trying to adjust to the news.

"I just can't imagine this place without him" Tee stated.

"Try and think positive" Mai Lee replied "I mean we don't know what's going to happen yet."

"Exactly..."

"So what's the plan Tyler?" Asked Carmen as she came in.

"Sorry?"

"Well your our voice now right?"

"Um yeah"

"Great, so make sure we're heard. We need Mike back"

Ryan left the room. I don't get it. He doesn't really like Mike yet he seems really upset. So is Harry but that is understandable considering he had known Mike his whole life pretty much.

We're on a boat. Mike and I. It's great fun! Laughing and playing games. We went up onto the top deck to watch the sunset and there's another boat.

It's heading straight towards us! Two people are on the top deck, the same level we are on. It gets closer and closer and eventually I can make out who they are.

Mum and Dad. I'm waving and shouting but they won't say anything back, they just keep looking forwards as if I'm not here.

I turn to look at Mike but he's gone! So has everybody! I'm on the boat alone!

I turn to look at the other boat but it's now just a great big massive tilde wave coming straight for me!

Mike comes back. He is on another boat and is reaching his hand out for me.

I try to take it, I can't reach! He slowly begins to drift away on the boat which is getting closer to the wave!

The wave hits him. Swallows him whole like a whale or snake and that's in, he's just gone.

"Mike?" I cry, desperately trying to see him. All that's left are the remains of his boat and the wave that is still hurtling towards me!

I can't move! I can't breath! I can't see! The wave is coming and it's getting faster and it's about to hit me and...

I screamed really loudly and sat bolt upright. Ryan was by my side and pulled me into his arms.

I was crying and sweating and my limbs were all over the place.

"It's ok, I'm here" he said reassuring me. He was rocking slightly, perched on the side of my bed.

Tee, Carmen, Jody, Tyler, Mo and Kazima gathered at our door.

"What happened?" Tee asked.

"Nightmare.... I think" Ryan said.

"I'll get you some water" Tee replied before running off.

"What was your nightmare about?" Kazima asked.

I started crying even more. Ryan pulled me into his chest.

"I'll look after her" Ryan said. Tee returned with a glass of water and everyone left, leaving just me and Ryan.

After I had calmed down in his arms, he spoke up.

"What was it about? Your nightmare?"

"Mike" I cried. He held me tighter and kissed my forehead.

"What happened?"

"He was trying to save me, he was got by the wave though" I sobbed.

"It's all going to be ok" he stated. "It wasn't real."

"I know, but I want him back, I want Mike back"

"Sssshhhhh it's ok. He will come back. I'll make sure of it"

"Promise?"

"I promise. Now please get some sleep now yeh? Wake me if you need anything."

I nodded and he kissed my cheek before laying me back down in bed and closing my eyes.
