"Floss, have you found the key?" I asked desperately.

She shook her head. Bailey, Tee, Harry and Ryan had been following us round all day, basically laughing at us. Idiots.

"I've got some chocolate under my bed, add that to the rewards list."

"I'm going to go look for the key!" Tee stated before rushing out followed by Harry and Bailey.

"What happened to wire cutters?" Ryan asked.

"Mai Lee said it was too dangerous" Carmen answered.

"And it's also a family heirloom or something" I stated.

"So the key really is your only option?"

"Yep" I said, popping the p and falling onto the sofa, face first.

----------

"We found the key!" Announced Toni and Billie in unison as we sat down for dinner.

"Where was it!" I spat,it didn't really sound like a question.

"It was in the garden!" Billie said, handing it over to Carmen who quickly unlocked the handcuffs.

I sighed heavily as I rubbed my sore wrist. "Floss, you need to learn how to put handcuffs on, they were way to tight!" I said, receiving a few laughs in response.

"I thought you would enjoy being stuck with Carmen all day." Bailey said.

"And why is that?" I asked.

"You're both female, and your both dogs!"

"Big mistake..." Muttered Ryan from his place beside me.

"Bailey" I started with clenched fists "I recommend my stop talking now"

"Why? What are you gonna do?"

"This!" I yelled picking up the jug of juice that was in front of me and throwing it over Bailey, who was in his best football kit.

Everybody gasped, before laughing, except Bailey who was just sitting there, seething.

"Marie!" Mike yelled.

"I know I know. Go to my room." I said getting up and leaving. "Although, that was totally worth it!"

----------

I'm just on my phone trying to beat my flappy bird high score. 88. Ok so I'm not that great at flappy bird but sorry!

Ryan then walked in holding a plate. He held out the plate of spaghetti and special sauce to me.

"You missed dinner"

"Thanks. You didn't have to"

"I wanted to"

I tucked into my meal, which was slightly cold but meh. Ryan just gazed at me the whole time, it was actually quite weird.

"Can I ask you something?" He asked.

"Ok?"

"About your self harming"

I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Go on..."

"Why did you do it?"

"After my parents died, I blamed myself. I don't know why. Everybody told me it wasn't my fault and that the pain would go away. It never did. And then, when school came round and people began to bully me, I just bottled up my sadness and resentment and ... Took it out on myself."

Tears were brimming in my eyes and Ryan looked at me solemnly. He sat on my bed beside me and pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry. I'll never bring it up again. And I'll never tell the others either!"

You better not!" I said, sounding more forceful than I intended.

I closed my eyes and let myself get absorbed in the moment, which soon enough was ruined by Carmen barging in. Like I haven't seen enough of her today.

"Mike wants to tell us all something and we're waiting for you both!" She snapped before running off again. Ryan took my hand and lead me downstairs into the living room.

"Now that we are all here" Mike started as we entered "I will tell you that because you go back to school soon, and that our last holiday attempt didn't end well..." I felt guilty as he said this. It was my fault we couldn't stay at the campsite, and I don't want to go camping again. "We're taking you to the beach!"

"The beach!" I screeched excitedly. "When?"

"Tomorrow."

"You know Mike, you really have a habit of making things difficult at such short notice!" I sarcastically commented.

"Just go pack your things. It will be warm and sunny as it's still summer and it's down south!"

----------

"Marie, it's the beach. I don't think you need a handbag!" Ryan said as he looked over my shoulder to my bed, where I was packing a bag and suitcase.

"It's for the bus journey!"

"What are you bringing? Your pet elephant?"

"There's a lot of things I might need on the bus, some of which I'm sure you'll be thanking me for."

"Like what?"

"Tissues, sickness bands, wet wipes, spare headphones, a few snacks and my IPod."

"What are you not taking your phone?"

"No point. There won't be any wifi at the hotel."

"Please bring it!"

"Alright alright, I'll take my phone, not saying I'll use it though."
