"You scared me to death..."

Ryan's POV

Carmen and I had been sitting on the kitchen trying to figure out a plan. She set off back towards the bedroom so I caught up with her just before she got there.

"Hey, you're up to something you!"

"What are you talking about?"

"Well I'm not stupid I know you. Usually you'd be stretched out on the sofa, apiting your nails or meditating or something. Instead you're here trying to help me get Marie out of her room, I don't get it."

She looked behind me before answering and said "the food is gone!"

I turned my head to see that she was right. The food we had left for Marie was gone and the door was open slightly.

We both ran into the room.

"Marie?!" I yelled running in. We both looked round before noticing the window was wide open.

"She's gone!"

"Check round the garden Carmen, I'll look in the attic we need to find her and bring her back!"

I'm worried. Very worried. If she isn't here, we are so dead! We lied to Mai Lee and Shona will be here soon!

I ran round the bottom floor, no sign. I looked in the girls bathroom, our bedroom the attic she isn't anywhere!

I need to speak to Carmen.

I ran down to the garden. She was by the shed.

"Carmen! I've checked the attic the bathroom, I can't find her..."

"Ryan she's gone. Her jacket is gone she could be anywhere! We have to call someone!"

"Who?"

"Follow me!" I followed her into the lounge where she picked up her phone and dialled Mikes number.

"Mike?"

"Well he is the reason Marie's disappeared. You're not keeping up with are you! You have realised that Mikes not here?!"

"Shut up."

We waited for a moment as the phone rang.

"Yeah, not answering" she stated, pulling the phone from her ear.

I took a deep breath and tried to calm down. This whole situation was stressing me out. I just want Marie to come back. I want to hug her and tell her it will all be ok. But I can't.

I rang her on my phone hoping that if she saw my number, she might pick up.

She didn't answer so I left a voicemail.

"Marie, it's me again. Just give us a bell back, let me know you're ok yeah? Bye"

"Ryan I really think we need to call Mai Lee"

"She'll just call the police and then Marie will be in for it"

The phone began to ring. I looked at Carmen who looked just as scared as me. I had the answer the phone.

"Hello Ashdene Ridge"

"Who is it?"

"Shona"

S: Im going to be another couple of hours late I'm really sorry I hope that's ok?!

R: Yeah no worries

S: Is Marie getting better?

R: Oh yeah Marie is tonnes better. We're all going to the park for the afternoon
