So I had no idea when I left I would probably end up at Jay's house....I would've gone at Lexy's or Mira's but I just found myself on Jay's doorstep with smeared mascara on my cheeks....i think I had been crying while driving but the wind just kept drying the tears....I punched the door bell....twice....I heard the buzz from the inside....and somebody shuffling towards the door....in a few seconds the door was yanked open revealing a shirtless Jay with wet hair....if I was not in a very crucial time of my life I would've enjoyed the scene but all I wanted was a place to crash and maybe residing with a fellow runaway would make it even better

"Do you still have that pizza...can soda...meat roll and barbecue....oh and an extra bed....extra couch...extra bathroom extra-"

He grabbed my hand and pulled me inside...he closed the door and turned the lock

"What the hell happened to you"he asked worried

He looked at me with my back pack and a huge purse and the tear stains on my cheeks

"What's with the make over melt down"he asked again
"I wish it was a make over melt down"
I said putting my bags on the floor and throwing the car keys on the coffee table near me
"I really need a place to crash "I said
"You came to the right place....now tell me what happened to you" he said heading to the kitchen...

As he walked away I took my time to look at the place...it wasn't so bad in fact it was gorgeous...something a rich dude would own...and not somebody who works in a diner can afford....but this was Jay.....and everything was a puzzle about him....
I plopped down on a chaise lounge and buried my face in my hands....by the time Jay came back he was in a clean sweat shirt and two mugs of coffee....he handed one to me as he pulled an ottoman and sat before me

"Thanks" I said putting the mug between my deep freezing hands
"What's wrong"
"See.....I kind of found out I'm an adopted kid...and the worst part  is .......I found out after getting into a really crazy argument with Miranda.....she just went on saying things and pointed out that I had no authority over her life because I'm not her father ,mother nor sister....so my mom walks in and Miranda urges her to tell me the truth and there Bang!!...it hits me like a baseball bat and I just wanted out......so here I am"I said miserably
"I'm sorry.... I'm so sorry"he said rubbing my hand
"Thanks...." I took a sip from my mug and placed it on the coffee table
"Now I see why Miranda has been all kinds of bull shit....she hated the fact that the adopted daughter was treated way better than the legitimate one...but both dad and mom loved us all the same she's just a slob.....and until she realizes it and becomes a better person she's going to feel the same even if I'm not there...."I added
"I don't know what to say...i mean....I've never been in an "adopted kid "situation... But running away from home......there...I got you...and trust me...this will be your second home...."
"Thanks Jay"I said grateful

Sometimes he treated me like a friend....sometimes something close to a young sister but he was Jay and he was the closest thing to a trust worthy mysterious person I knew of

"Let's get you settled in "he said brightly as he took the mug from my hands and hauled me up....he grabbed my bags and he led the way upstairs...the house was super clean....he was not one of those boys who had a house resembling the after math of a rather chic jumble sale....he was organized and this was totally The place I wanted to crash....he steered me down the hallway and led me to a room which was a bit far from his....his was at the other end of the hallway
He placed my bags on the neat bed...it looked like a suite or a hotel room....white sheets...a white rug around the bed....the wallpapers were plain blue....but I didn't mind...if it was a boy's room blue would be the color...a closet no different from mine....and a bathroom too....with a shower and a tub....Damn!!I walked into the right escape house....the room had a set of double doors that opened up to a balcony giving you the perfect view of the back of the house
