On the move

The night in the cave wasn't pleasant but it was better than any other place we had camped at so far....
Lucifera was happy to stress out her fire on us and it was enough to keep us warm and dry
The storm had miraculously stopped since Mulan mentioned it would've continued anyway...I sure hoped not to meet another Thunderbird
Good news was we were soon going to be out of monster's mouth
My arm was still throbbing I wished I could chop it off and have a rest maybe from all the slow sickening healing that was taking place inside
I tried much not to draw attention and my efforts thankfully were noticed by Julian who didn't mind not mentioning it to anyone
I didn't want anyone to think me incapable or disabled at the moment...that would mean being extra careful if we were to ever encounter Vlad again or get ambushed
I tried to haul myself up on my horse and failed at the attempt.. I cursed under my breath..this was not supposed to happen at the moment...my left arm was temporarily disabled and I couldn't even force it to hold so much as a rein or weigh on it for support
I looked around and no one had noticed,The captain was talking to Mulan and he was gesturing toward somewhere ahead as if showing her a path ....I certainly hoped he was showing her a shorter route we could take to get out of here
Lucifera was as always rubbing her flawless pitch black wings...I can't imagine a day she'll walk around without those,she'll probably commit suicide, she loved them too much...adored them perhaps
I tried again while everyone was busy doing something and before I knew it somebody firmly held my waist and gave me a boost up my horse
Taken aback I almost let go of the rein ,I looked down and saw Julian

"Thanks" I whispered

He shrugged it off and walked away..I didn't expect anything...actually I hadn't expected anything since yesterday at the river
Though when he said he wondered what the color of my eyes was in the sun ...I couldn't help but travel into another dimension....

"We'll be out of here when the sun is way up...." Mulan began as she got on her horse "then we'll be entering the Enchanted Forest, one thing is for sure, we cannot camp in the Enchanted Forest...we have to go through it immediately"

Was that fear in her voice??...or some insect was buzzing in my ear,I swear I heard something completely different from what Mulan would've sounded like...No questions asked , Bart led the way,he looked alright,fully healed and ready to navigate, I on the other hand was clenching and unclenching my hand repeatedly exercising it as I handled my horse with my right hand,soon we'd start racing and I didn't want to be on horseback supporting myself with one hand ,that was if we would ever come to a clearing.

"Somebody looks gloomy!"

I snapped and turned around watching Estevan juggling wild berries ,I giggled as he moved next to me

"Someone sure is in a playful mood!"
"Don't take it personally! " he warned " but sometimes I feel like I'm venturing with a couple of corpses"

My mouth dropped and my lips curled into a wide smile...Luna made a sound and threw us a look

"Well somebody took it the wrong way " I whispered
"She's one hell of a corpse" Estevan said loudly
"I can turn you into one,you know " Luna snarled
"I'll be happy to join the crew"

I don't know how many times Luna would hate Estevan,she hated anything that was lively and chirpy...anything that she wasn't

"How do you live with her,I mean I've been around nicer people ??" Estevan asked
"Who??,Luna!! " I shrugged "well,she's better than some people from my world"
"Haven't heard you talk about people from your world....now that you've mentioned it,I'll bite... What are they like if they are worse than her"
"Trust me, Luna is NOT bad....at all...she's just......Luna"
"Now really....tell me about your people... You've only told me about places in your world... Nothing about the people....your friends....family"
"That's because places are a lot nicer than people"
