THE KORA CHRONICLES: Her Chosen Fate

I woke up when I heard a knock on my door....I was so used to my habit of looking at what time it is on my wrist watch that I cursed as I realized it was going backwards.... I shouted a raspy come in as I sat up

The door opened and in walked my maid with a tray at hand....oh! B&B.....I was finally living like a princess

"You didn't have to" I said sweetly as I pressed my palms together sitting up ready to murder the tray

"It's routine " my maid said sheepishly

I smiled at her as I grabbed a napkin and draped it on my lap

"Thanks"
"I actually wanted to thank you....for yesterday.... You really saved me there....the king has been patient with me for a long time...that would've been my final chance....I do make mistakes a lot of times....not on purpose"

"It's okay....it was partly my fault after All.... So....you didn't tell me your name"

She smiled brightly

"My name is Mira"

I softened as I stared at her....she was as naive and shy like my Mira too...

"I really like you Mira....we would've been good friends if I was staying longer"
"Probably" she said flashing me a huge smile

"I should go and prepare your bath" she said quickly

"Private bath" I called after her

I heard her giggle as she closed the door.....I had my breakfast and stepped out of bed and opened the curtains....the morning sun lit the room and felt warm on my skin....it was so refreshing...I would give anything to wake up like this everyday without the dark Lord to think about....my day dreaming phase was short lived after Mira came back

"That was fast" I mumbled
"It's ready"

I grabbed my towel and followed her....if it would take guards to make sure those clingy sex goddesses don't show up again or Mordred....I would definitely call the entire red uniform to stand guard....

"Don't allow anyone inside" I said before she closed the door
"I know you want your privacy"
"Thanks"

I got in the warm bath as I tied my hair into a messy bun....I couldn't risk it getting wet again after looking like a soaked squirrel over supper yesterday...
I moved around occupying the whole tub...this was so refreshing....I could do this the whole day...all I wanted was not to remember about what life has been to me....it has been giving me lemons lately and I can't make lemonade
I just wanted to be burden free for one day...live the life I was supposed to live....I think I had spent hours in the bathroom....
"I'm so sorry I took long" I said as I spotted Mira standing outside the doors

"Oh...don't worry"

She led the way again back to my room which I was totally sure where it was....it was after all on the same floor with the cozy bathroom....I was busy looking around that I didn't even notice someone walking my way until I bumped into them ....I felt an arm snake around me as another gripped my towel preventing it from falling....I gasped and my eyes went wide as I noticed the small incident... I raised my head and saw one of the twin brothers staring down at me....could be Estevan ...could be Julian...but it was definitely the blonde one
He steadied me but his hostile look made me want to dig a hole in the ground and bury myself
Before I even said thanks he walked past me knocking my shoulder

"What was that??" I asked Mira since I was definitely out of explanations

"That was prince Julian...the youngest....he's always moody....comes with growing up without a mother....and having a warrior queen bring you up instead"
