THE KORA CHRONICLES: Her Chosen Fate

Two at a time

I was still in my car... With my eyes closed remembering every bit of the conversation we had.... With Julian... But not Julian

He looked at me with a frown.... He had the same shoulder length blonde  hair... The same woodland eyebrows,  the same sharp jawline.... It was him.... I was so sure of that but then

"Are you okay?? " he asked

I hugged him... Unable to contain myself

"how did you get here?? " I asked after letting him go... Not questioning why he didn't hug me back

"do I know you?? " he asked

And that's when my face dropped

"Julian.... Are you-"
"I'm not Julian... " he chuckled " I'm sorry you must have mistaken me for someone  else" he said giving me a soft smile

Then walked away

I was in front of Jay's house but I was troubled as hell.... I felt a tap on my window and I jumped  opening my eyes... I turned to my right and saw Jay

He moved away giving me space to open the door... I got out of my car leaving my coat behind...

"what's wrong.... You look like you've seen a ghost.... Are you okay?? " he asked

"I might have seen one" I said slowly
"come on inside "

He led the way and opened the door for me
I plopped down on his comfy sofa and lifted my legs up

"what is it.... " he said giving me a glass of water

" I think I saw Julian"

He frowned and sat on the table before me

"you are not serious.... Are you sure it was him?? "
"Yes.... It's just... I don't know... I was at the restaurant... Then I bumped into someone
Turns out it's him.... It was him... Until I called him Julian and asked how he got here and he told me he doesn't go by the name Julian  and I must have mistaken him for somebody else.... " I said as I rubbed my forehead in frustration

"that's tricky!! "

Jay was deep In thought and so was I

"could be crossing to another realm wipe someone's memory out??" he asked
"it surely didn't wipe ours out"

Deep in thought again

"but even if it's possible... This Julian look alike knew exactly where he was going and what he was doing and his dress code was perfect.... As if he's been around for ages" I said

"there must be something that can explain this"
"talk about doppelgangers " I mumbled

"could be it"
"do you think he is a druid too"
"there's only one way to find out"

I looked at Jay raising an eyebrow

"find him and talk to him.... Did you get anything of his... A name... An address... A phone number" Jay said

I rolled my eyes

"he practically  left me ogling at him after he told me he wasn't Julian... And it's not like I would have asked for an address right away after meeting someone who  looked like Julian" I said... Frustrated all over again

"so-"
"It's  done" I said putting my arms up in defeat
"tell me about you" I added

Jay moved to the sofa next to me and sighed

"As I told you before...... " and he began again.... This time going deep in detail

I sat on my front porch down the two steps wondering about my afternoon
