Journey to the Mist

It had taken a lot to persuade Mulan to take a rest....we were all worn out...still we hadn't gone past the so called deserted land but it was more than that....this place was simply a branch of hell....the skies were red and so was the sun...a red sun??....so much like the Apocalypse.... Mulan said we had to get to the mist before night....travelling the whole day sucks

"I'm surprised you're not complaining" Luna grunted as she sat beside me passing me a bottle of water

I took a sip and saved some for Mulan and Jay as I passed it on to her...it was important we reserved the little supplies we had....we sure didn't know for how long we were going to be out here....trekking the whole day

"It sure wouldn't land me in a full water tank!!" I said after deciding conversation would be better although my throat was all kinds of dry

"This is just the beginning"Luna sung

I could hear the amusement in her voice...she was definitely trying to get to me

"And I'm just getting started"

Thankfully she didn't say another word...I was blocked away from the sun for a moment and I felt relief when I saw a huge shadow over me...I doubted it was a creature.... Who the hell would want to live here...maybe a dragon... Which brought me back to Adrastia's dragon...the air was still hot and even sitting there resting wasn't so different from being on horseback and riding through the red cursed land....I raised my head and saw Lucifera with her wings spread out....she was the umbrella then....glad to know

"I should have worn nothing at all" Luna mumbled

Yeah...we were getting roasted in our gears

"If only I was Angelica!!"Lucifera spat

I took another look at her and smiled to myself

"You sure do look like a heat absorber"

She scowled at me and I grinned wider....with her huge black wings...and that jet black hair.....and her gear...she was definitely burning

"Time to go" Mulan said as she mounted her horse

None of us objected....even though it was tiresome but the sooner the better.....we only had one goal and that was to get out of the inferno we were in
None of us conversed on the way....it was more like saving our breathes because our throats were dry as the land itself

By dusk we were far away from the deserted land and it was a relief to breathe fresh air...because I had felt blisters popping on my skin.....it was not easy to survive that place....you would probably be roasted to death or dehydrated...but the warriors were stronger and so was I....Jay was handling it pretty well...but for a human....he did have blisters.... I steered my horse closer to his

"Are you okay??" I asked
"Yeah" he gave me a tiresome smile

I looked at his blistered hands

"We have to take care of that when we settle down" I told him

"It's important we keep our medical supplies for clear emergencies" Luna interrupted

"Oh shut up" I scowled "you don't need that as much as he does....unless you forgot he's completely human"

"Which reminds me ....what is he doing here anyway"

"Riding a horse silently" I snapped
"Don't raise your voice at m-"
"Shut up already....do you always have to pick fights??...."

Luna was about to speak when Mulan interrupted

"We'll get that treated when we camp for the night....it's not far now" Mulan said specifically talking to Jay
