Warriors Fortress

As the doors opened revealing a long hallway with very high walls and two lined up maids....I stood paralyzed....

Fa Mulan??? The last of the Han Dynasty

She must have been at least centuries old.....as we walked past the maids they bowed... I had a feeling it was not because of the two guests....but armor girl...I mean Mulan

"What are you....a warrior princess??I asked above a whisper
"I am commander of the army of the Jaibríl warriors"she said
"Jaibríl??"
"Its this place...The fortress....its what you call Gabriel in your world"she said
"Ow" I muttered

A commander of an army.....a woman...well things are really different from my world....

"No men??"I asked

She shook her head

"Warrior women"she said as she took a turn ..

"Take him to the sisters of the forest.... They'll know what to do " she ordered

Before I had time to ask who she was talking about...I saw the maids grab Jay and walk away with him

"I'll be fine"he croaked after He saw my horrid look

"Your friend is in good hands.... You come with me ...you won't be allowed to see him until tomorrow"she ordered

I found myself falling instep beside her....what was it with her and orders....OH...she was the commander of an army... She probably wasn't used to polite language
She walked faster now and my feet were aching..  We ran for our lives before we jumped in to the portal... And we had to walk again to the fortress....and she dropped no hint that she was tired.... Crappy warriors
We began going up the steps again of a spiral stony staircase......we ended into another hall lighted by torches perched on the walls.....she took a right turn and I wondered how long we would be taking stairs and turns before my legs gave out.....then we stopped in front of huge double doors

These ones were not made of wood....they looked somewhat heavier.....like those kind of doors that would fall on you and leave nothing as close to a corpse...because it would have squashed you and left you stuck on the floor like bubblegum stuck on a shoe for somebody to scrape off

"Stay here" she said firmly

She pushed the doors open and closed them behind her...
I had no idea what was going on in that room but I hated being kept in the dark....standing.....after 10 minutes which felt like forever ..Mulan walked out

"You need to rest.... Follow me"she said

She looked like she knew what everyone needed and wanted.... She just ordered people around..  I was thankful...for not going up another set of stairs ...it was the same hallway where what was supposed to be my room was stationed.... She opened the door for me and I walked in

The room was beautiful... The bed was like a four poster bed but make it a little bit ancient. ....with curtains draping over the bed from all sides.... A bed side table with drawers..  A closet....mark.  ANCIENT ....a book shelf....a bed trunk.. ..and a full size mirror.... That was all.....the window was wide enough to pose as a door too ....but that was all

"No bathroom ??" I asked
"No..."

I scowled and crossed my hands over my chest

"If you need to--"

Her eyes drifted to the lower part of my body...from my waist and I understood what she wanted to say

"A maid will be stationed out of your Room....just knock and She'll be of service"she said

I nodded...and she walked out...closing the heavy door behind her....
I walked around and ended up sitting on bed.....my life had taken such a sharp turn and twists I could never have imagined....I was just seventeen and somebody tried to kill me....a commander of an army of warrior women saved my life only to recruit me on a fight against evil.... I had a family for God's sake...and school...and best friends... Which I dearly missed....The heavy door opened again and I almost jumped off the bed

"If you wish to freshen up your maid will be honored to accompany you..
..and help you wash....either way I suggest you take a rest and I'll send someone to fetch you at dinner"Mulan said standing on The door way
"What about Jay"
"You'll see him after dinner"she said finalizing the conversation as she walked out....

I needed a bath I could hardly rest  feeling like a loaded donkey or a goat...I slightly knocked on the door...the maid pushed the door open and gave me a curt nod

"What can I do for you"she said humbly

She had a small round face.... Pale blonde hair and her eyes the color of a rainbow....she was beautiful....and she some how reminded me of Miranda

"I need to take a bath"I said

She smiled at me and nodded for me to follow....I followed her down the hallway....we took a set of stairs going down then we halted in front of another room with a set of double doors.... She pushed them open revealing what should be a tub with steaming water.....although it wasn't like 21st century's bath tub it sure did look inviting since it was also scented
....there were candles around it

"Should I help you undress"she asked

I turned sharply towards her

"No... No....I can manage"I protested

She saw the shock on y face and smiled

"Would you wish for me to help you wash??"she asked again
"No...privacy is all I need" I said making it clear that I need no my fellow girl's hands touching me....she left without a word and closed the door behind her....I slipped out of my clothes and got into the steaming tub...the water was hot and I felt relaxed....I sunk deeper into the water my face hovering above as I closed my eyes....
I just needed the peace....even if it was going to last for minutes.... I drifted off to nowhere...I was in peace....in peace.....its all that mattered....I drifted off.... Deeper....deep into nothingness.....deep....feeling numb .....deep ......feeling far away from both worlds..... Deep ......into nothingness..... Deep into a beauty sleep

I felt a hand on my shoulder and I opened my eyes blinking looking at a worried pale blonde rain bow eyed face

"Privacy??"I said
"I had to see if you were okay....you were in here for more than an hour"she said "I apologize"
"An hour??"I asked in disbelief
"Yes my lady"

But I had just drifted off for like ten minutes or so.....unless time here went fast....either way....I was not an amphibian...and I had no plans of staying in the water the whole day

"Hand me a towel "I said
"Pardon me??"
"You don't expect to see me naked do you??"

She shook her head and handed me something far from a towel....I gestured for her to turn around as I walked out of the tub....I unfolded whatever she had handed me and a beautiful silk floral robe draped over my hands....I swung it around me anyway and pushed my hands through the sleeves wrapping it around me so tight it would've been a second skin

"Show me to my room please"I said
"As you wish"

She led the way.....and just as I had memorized the passage...she had taken me up The same path we came from...I got into my room and got dressed in my dirt/blood/sweat stained clothes...I threw myself on bed and curled into a ball.... Everything inside me was worn out..... My brain itself was just part of decor for my skull.... I could hardly think of anything....I closed my eyes and willed myself to sleep
