So, it's been, what, ten or so days. I am going to go out with Chloe for the first time, she is going to take me to a club called Alchemy, it's a drive, but it's an exclusive club. I decided to wear a navy dress that is shorter in the front than it is in the front, I know it's not a cocktail dress, but what do you expect from a farm girl. As I left my room, hair done as well as my makeup, Chloe stops me in the hallway.
"Okay that is cute, but it's like homecoming cute, not something for the club," she says while indicating my dress, "You need to show that you're a women, here go through my closet." I followed her to her closet where she showed me the section she had just for parties, I guess she's goes to parties a lot.
After shuffling through five or so dresses, I found a long legged jumper that had silver accents on the top but it was black on the rest of the body, it was perfect.
"That one?" Chloe says slightly confused, "I haven't worn that in so long, I even forgot that I owned it. You can have it if you want."
"If you don'-" Chloe interrupts me, "Of course, you'll wear it a lot more than I will." I smile in thanks as I leave her room to change into the jumper in my room.
I put on the jumper then looking at myself in my new body length mirror, feeling vulnerable yet confident. I leave my room to see Chloe putting on her pumps, when she sees me she looks me up and down and says, "Damn girl, you're making me jealous, I wish I looked that good in that!"
I blushed at her comment while mentally pushing her out of the house and into the car. I usually was the one to drive everywhere I went, but I had no clue how to get to the club, Chloe did. As we arrived we parked in a spot not too terribly far from the entrance of the club which was pure luck for us. Alchemy more of a weekend only club, that was really popular when it first opened but has lost popularity over the years, but it makes a perfect balanced not too crowded but yet it's not a ghost town. We walk up to the door where the bouncer let us in with no issue, I'm assuming that Chloe was a familiar face, she was a people person anyways. We walked into the club to be met with a black room with multiple colored lights beaming left, right, up, and down besides where the bar was that had dim white lights with red accents. Chloe pulled me through the crowd of sweaty bodies to a janitor's closet, I could only guess, "I have a locker in here we can put our personal belongings in here for safekeeping." she screamed over the song that was blaring from the DJ booth. I store my clutch in the locker so does Chloe as we both keep our credit cards on us so we can get drinks if we want.
"This is where we head our separate ways." I say, and Chloe responds with a plan for us to meet up so we can leave, "We'll meet at the locker at two a.m., okay?" I nod in agreement as I walk to the bar to get a couple shots in me to loosen up. I wave the bartender and I tell him I want a couple of whiskey shots, while handing him my credit card to pay. He puts three shot glasses on the counter before filling them, before he could get to fill the third one I've already swallowed the first already feeling warm and loose. I finished my two other shots before heading to the dancefloor to get moving so when the alcohol kicks in I won't be as awkward as I am now.
A half an hour later I'm starting to feel like a whole new person and everyone around me has noticed too and have joined my little dance area because I gave off the vibe that I was the center of the fun. I haven't had so much fun in years, I could get used to this.
The club was playing 23 by Miley Cyrus, it was my favorite song to dance to, totally wasn't because I had choreography to it. Anyways, I ended making a dance circle, being joined by a guy in a black shirt and blue jeans. We really synced immediately, as well as knowing the lyrics. Good thing I didn't go for a dress because that would've been difficult as well as awkward.
After the song was over people applauded as I went back to the bar to go get a water and maybe a Guinness, I know well isn't that an Irish thing to do well I'm Irish born and raised, deal. It wasn't too long until the mystery guy that I danced with walked up to me, because of there being more lighting at the bar I got a better look at him. This mystery guy was '5"11 at least, red-ish brown hair in this lighting, he was well in shape, he also had glasses he was attractive what can I say I'm gonna look for details.
"Hey," the mystery guy says, "I do have the right girl, I can't to seem anyone else so talented." I looked at him with a 'you didn't just do that right?' face and before I burst in laughter he says scratching the back of his neck, "Call me nachos, because I'm cheesy."
I giggle as I say, "My name is Cornelius, come ear often?" he laughs as he replies, "Well Cornelius, mine is Craig. You know I didn't know Cornelius was still a name."
"Well, I'm formally called Cornelius but my friends call me Amber." I state as he smiles as I tell him my name.
"Now, that is more fitting, not that Cornelius isn't great."
We sat there for a couple minutes asking the usual personality questions when my Guinnesses are sat down next to my hand on the bar.
"You like Guinness?" Craig asked as I replied as a simple yes, "Hey mate, give me some more Guinnesses down here." he yells at the bartender who gives him three, "What? You think I'm gonna let you drink alone?"
