Third Person Point of View.

Dan heaved a loud and painful sigh as he tripped over something and dropped his books. His textbooks went flying everywhere. The young boy looked up to see Phil. The punk. Being a pastel boy wasn't good when you came in contact with a punk. Opposites attract, but Dan and Phil were too opposite. Phil liked to pick on Dan anytime he could. And he was doing it right now.

"Aw, did Danny Boy drop his books? Let's take a look at this, shall we?" Phil muttered, picking up a book. Inside was a drawing Dan had made. "Aw, Daniel. This is so cute. How long did it take?" Dan snarled and snatched the paper away and stuffed it in his bookbag. "Whatever. Screw you, Lester." Dan had built up enough courage to talk back to Phil after all the times he 'bullied' him.

"Shut up, Howell," Phil said harshly. "You're not going anywhere." With a smirk, Dan grunted, "Watch me." Dan began to walk away, but realized he was missing something. His pink ribbon. The ribbon he wore around his neck everyday. "Forgetting something?" Phil asked, holding up the ribbon. "Give it back, Lester." Dan growled, reaching for it. "No, no, no.." Phil teased. "Not until you ask nicely." Dan sighed, "May I please have it ba-"

SNIP.

Phil cut the ribbon in half and dropped the half pieces on the floor. Dan's heart was torn. He didn't know why, but that ribbon meant everything to him. "Ph-Phil.." Dan quietly sobbed. Dan had never called Phil by his first name. He could tell Dan was really hurt. "My ribbon," Dan cried. "Dan. I-I.." "Leave me alone, Phil!" Dan shouted, clinging onto his textbooks. "Come with me," Phil demanded.

Phil grabbed Dan's arm and pulled him into the bathroom. "Sit," Phil ordered. Dan did as told and sat on the counter next to the sink. "I'm sorry," Phil apologized. "Please don't cry. You're too pretty." Phil grabbed a paper towel and wet it. He dabbed Dan's puffy red eyes and then wrapped his arms around him. "Why are you doing this, Ph-" Dan tried to ask, but was interrupted by a kiss. "Be quiet..."

Dan's eyes filled with surprise, but hesitantly returned the kiss. "I'm sorry," Phil apologized. "It's okay," Dan giggled. "But you owe me a new ribbon, Lester."

"I know, Howell. I know..."
