The next thing she knows, a week has gone by and it's time to go back to school.
The doctors don't suspect anything, and her mom just thinks she's the same.
She hops in the car, nervous as ever.
She rides a silent car ride to school and she looks out the window, thinking of all the possible things they could say to her.
She slowly gets out of the car and walks into school with her head down, trying to avoid eye contact, and people in general.
'Is that really you? I thought you were dead.' a popular girl named Jamie said with a smile.
'Did you want to be reunited with your freaky twin?' one girl said, addressing her best friend who committed suicide.
'I seriously thought she was dead for awhile there. School was actually good.' Jamie says.
All the popular girls chuckle and walk off, their stilettos clicking on the floor and their designer purses hanging off their arm like a model.
She was already on the verge of tears, and school hasn't even started.
Her mom said if things go bad to call her and she can pick her up.
She picks up her phone and her finger hovers over the button to call her mom for a minute or two.
She finally puts it away and decides against it.
She would look like a baby if she left school like that.
She rushes to the bathroom, not able to hold in her tears anymore, she pushes open the bathroom door, crying and runs in.
She automatically comes to a stop when she sees Jamie and her crew standing there, a couple at the mirror putting on lipgloss.
'Aw, look who's here. and she's crying! Why are you crying?' she laughs.
She rushes out of the bathroom, there's no escape.
No escape.
Those words keep repeating in her head and she feels lightheaded.
She hurries and dials her mom's number, she doesn't care anymore.
She just needs to get out of there.
Her mom arrives and she's on her way outside.
People laugh and make rude remarks on her way out, so she hurries and rushes to the car, shutting the door and telling her mom to just hurry and get out of there.
'Please tell me what happened.' her mom begs her.
'I don't want to talk about it.'
'What names did they call you? Please tell me.'
She sighs and takes a deep breath, and tells her what happened.
They arrive home, and by now it's pouring down rain.
She wants some alone time, so she grabs the car keys and goes for a drive.
She parks the car and gets out, walking over to that bridge.
She sits there, looking over the side, not holding in any tears anymore, letting every tear out, every yell.
No one hears anyway, so she just cries and thinks.
Letting the rain fall on her.
She lays down and lets the rain just fall, lets it wash everything away.
She looks up at the clouded sky and thinks to herself, what would happen if she, in this moment, stopped breathing?
What would happen if she just, was gone? Died in an instant, right here, right now.
Would anyone look for her? Would anyone care?
She's thought about this millions of times, and she continues to think about it.
What will happen for her?
Will she pull through?
Or will her life be gone?
