She wakes up to the sound of birds chirping outside her window.
She opens her eyes and sees it's morning.
What?
She goes downstairs and her mom says she fell asleep last night after a while, so her dad went home.
'Support group is tomorrow night.' her mom says.
'Do I have to go?' she asks.
'At least try.'
She goes back up to her room and takes a shower.
She doesn't really know what she feels like.
She doesn't feel like crying, but she doesn't feel happy.
She just kind of feels emotionless.
She goes back in her room and decides on taking a nap.
She falls right to sleep peacefully for once.
'Wake up!' she wakes up to her mom almost crying.
'What is it?' she asks.
'Have you seen Dani?' Dani? She hasn't heard from Dani in a while.
'No, I haven't talked to her in a few days. Why?'
'She's missing. They think she ran off or something. She looked in her room this morning and she was gone. They thought she might have gone for a walk, or to do something. But she hasn't been back and it's been around 10 hours.'
Where would Dani have gone?
'I'll go look for her.' she volunteers, getting up and grabbing her keys.
She runs to her car and starts it.
She starts driving, not really knowing where she's going.
She checks everywhere, around Dani's neighborhood, the place they meet for support group, everywhere.
She doesn't really know where Dani could've gone.
She takes out her phone and calls her, receiving no answer.
She continues to drive to any place she could think of, repeatedly calling her again and again.
She goes back home.
'Have they found her yet?' she asks her mom.
'No not yet.'
She goes up to her room to think of any possible place she could be.
And then, it hits her.
Why didn't she think of it before?
It was so obvious.
Dani was at the bridge.
She sprints downstairs and to her car.
She drives as fast as she can down to the bridge.
She gets out of her car and walks over.
And what she sees is Dani, crying, and leaning over the bridge.
'Dani!' she yells, running over.
'Go away!' she cries.
As she gets closer, she realizes Dani has a blade in her hand, and blood is running down her arms and legs and mascara runs down her face.
'Everyone is looking for you.'
'I can't do this anymore. I just can't.' she cries.
'W- what do you mean?' tears coming in her eyes.
'I can't.' she whispers, shaking her head.
She makes another slice in her arm, more blood running down.
'Dani, please. Please don't.' she whispers.
'I just can't take it anymore though. I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry.'
