"JOOOOOOOOOOOOON!!!!!!!" Karkat ran, screaming. He scurried and hid behind my legs.

"What's wrong-"
"RAWR!!!" Dave ran with a scary paper plate mask on his face, stomping towards Karkats.
The little troll shrieked and jumped up onto my chest, crawling inside my shirt. He peeked out from the neck hole.

I groaned, "Dave, what did I tell you about scaring him?"

"Aw come on.." He pulled the mask off. "It's not THAT scary.."
"Do you now see him shaking inside my shirt?" I pointed to the vibraying lump where my chest is. Karkat whimpered.
I carefully took him out and hugged him. "Dave. Time out corner. Now."

"You can't be serious-" He chuckled, but stopped when I glared at him; showing him I was serious.

He stuck his tongue out and walked to the corner where a small kids chair was. He sat in it, careful not to fall over.
I instructed with my finger, "Face the wall."

"You gotta be fucking kidding me.." He mumbled under his breath, turning towards the wall.

I set Karkat down on the kitchen counter. He sat down. "Don't worry. He won't scare you any more. Want a snack?"

He nodded, patiently waiting until I have him a chocolate chip granola bar.
His little hands held the bar, as he teared at the plastic wrapping with his teeth. He spit it out, and slowly ate the bar as I placed a small cup of water beside him.
"Make sure you drink that all up, Kay?"
"KAY JHN." He nodded, still trying to eat the bar.

I walked over to the time out corner, looking down at Dave."Are you thinking about why I put you here?"

"Because you don't know what fun is." He had his arms crossed, not looking up.

"Dave, we both agreed that we wouldn't scare Karkat after what happened the other night!"
"How was I suppose to know he'd have nightmares after watching MAMA?!"

"I told you! Only Disney, and other animated movies!! He likes those! AND crab documentaries- for some reason.."

"Okay okay, sorry.." He huffed. "Can I get up now? I have to get ready for work soon." He looked up.

"Fine." I walked away, hearing Dave walk past me to his room.
Karkat was still sitting on the counter, finished with the bar and the cup of water. I smiled. "Good job."

"GOTTA BEEEEE HYDRAUGHTED!!"

"Hydrated."

"THAT WHAT I SAID!" He hopped down. "Can um.." He mumbled, "Can I watch cartoons now?"

"You know you can." I smiled and scooped him up in my arms. "But not for long. You have to get to bed soon. You get one hour."

"TWO!" He protested.

"No. One. This isn't negotiable." I put him down on the couch, turning on the tv.

"ONE AND A HALF!" He grinned. "Please?" He gave me those cute, begging eyes.

I sighed and sat beside him, scratching behind his ear. "Fine. An hour and a half.."
He began to purr, waving his tail around happily. He crawled onto my lap and snuggled in between my legs.
I turned on the tv to some old shows from Boomerang. One of the best: The Smurfs.

"WHY ARE THEY BLUUU?" He tilted his head.

"I'm not sure.. They just are.."
