"Seungcheol! Wait up!"
Confused, Seungcheol turned around to see Jeonghan standing there, panting heavily. Seungcheol's face hardened, and he glared at Jeonghan.
"What do you want?" he rudely asked.
"I'll help you find the room with your bags. Our house may be big, but we only have four bedrooms that we actually use as bedrooms. They're all on the top level, and your siblings are still searching the basement, so we should be able to find the room first! Follow me," Jeonghan replied, giving Seungcheol a beaming smile.
"Only four bedrooms? Rich people are so annoying," Seungcheol muttered. He begrudgingly followed Jeonghan as he led him up the stairs.
"So all the rooms on this level are bedrooms, aside from the laundry room over there. All the bedrooms have bathrooms, other than my room and the room across from it because they share a bathroom. They have their own sinks though. That room is my parents' room and there's no way you're staying in there, so let's try the other three rooms. How funny would it be if they made you stay in the laundry room though?" Jeonghan prattled.
They walked into the room across from Jeonghan's parents' bedroom.
"Is that your bag?" Jeonghan questioned, pointing at the suitcase that was in the room. Seungcheol shook his head. It was his mother's. "Let's check the room across from mine then. It must be yours."
The two of them walked down the hallway and entered the room on their right. They looked for the suitcases and found them in the corner. Seungcheol stared at the bags strangely. Those were Ji-na and Seungpo's bags, so where was his? The only rooms they hadn't checked were Jeonghan's parents' room and Jeonghan's room.
Seungcheol froze. His bags couldn't be in Jeonghan's room, right? He pushed past Jeonghan and stormed towards Jeonghan's bedroom.
"Seungcheol! Hey, what are you doing?!" Jeonghan exclaimed, following the black-haired boy.
The two of them stood in Jeonghan's bedroom with a shocked silence between them. Seungcheol clenched his fists. Right next to one of the two beds in the room was his suitcase.
"I guess we're roommates now, huh?" Jeonghan said, giving Seungcheol a weak smile. Seungcheol shot him a dirty look.
"There's no way I'm staying in the same room as you. I'm going to go ask your parents if I can stay with my siblings or my mom," Seungcheol declared, turning to leave and go downstairs.
Jeonghan reached out and grabbed Seungcheol's arm with his hand. Seungcheol looked back at him and glared at the hand in disbelief.
"Aren't you going to let go of me?" Seungcheol hissed. He wrenched his arm away from Jeonghan's grip, but Jeonghan grabbed it again.
"Wait, just listen to me, okay? My parents already set up this bed for you and put your stuff here. They probably even cleaned out half of my closet while I was at school to make room for you. Can't you just be thankful and accept it? I'll try not to bother you, I promise. Besides, we can help each other out with homework and stuff. And do you really want to trouble your mom and siblings by forcing them to make room for another person?" Jeonghan rambled.
Seungcheol realized the logic in Jeonghan's argument and sighed. He glanced around the room. It was a pretty nice room anyways, and it looked big enough for the both of them to share with space to spare. He looked at Jeonghan again.
"Fine, but you can't disturb me, okay? We aren't even going to talk to each other, unless we need to for some weird reason," Seungcheol conceded.
Jeonghan nodded furiously as a cute smile broke out onto his face. Seungcheol sighed again and put his backpack next to Jeonghan's.
"Should we go down then and tell them that we found your room? I've been craving ice cream for days," Jeonghan admitted, patting his stomach.
"Who said the ice cream's for you? Didn't they say the one who found their suitcase first would get the ice cream? We found my suitcase not yours," Seungcheol responded, scoffing at Jeonghan.
"I helped you find it though! Give me half?" Jeonghan requested with a pout. Seungcheol's head felt fuzzy as he looked at the attractive boy. Without a word, Seungcheol walked away from Jeonghan and exited their bedroom.
"Seungcheol? Wait up!"
A/N: idk how i feel about this chapter...wow this is turning out to be a lot like "playful kiss" huh? maybe not yet, but the future chapters seem a lil bit like the show. dw though, i won't make jeonghan some annoying lil twerp who changes himself for seungcheol. he has a giant crush on seungcheol, but he won't change who he is for him. as for seungcheol, he doesn't deny his feelings about jeonghan, he just pushes them away. he'll eventually start being the warm and loving dad that we all know, okay?
linked song is "shades of gray" by state champs bc it's catchy af. tbh, even if you aren't a state champs fan, you have to admit their music is super catchy. idc if you like hardcore punk, old school rock, pop, hip hop, classical, whatever; if you say that state champs isn't catchy, then you're a liar.
also, did anyone catch my lil internal rhyme? idk why i did that pls forgive
