"When are your parents coming back from their business dinner, Jeonghan? What time was it again?" Seungcheol's mom asked as she tested a shade of lipstick on her skin. She held up her hand for Jeonghan to see.
"Maybe a slightly lighter shade?" Jeonghan suggested. Seungcheol's mother nodded. "And I'm not sure. I think my mom said it'd be really late though. Possibly past midnight?"
"Oh, really? Will you guys be okay until then? You'll have to take care of Seungpo too," Seungcheol's mom worried.
"We'll be fine, Auntie. I can take care of the two of them. Just enjoy your date, okay?" Jeonghan smiled. Seungcheol's mother smiled back at him.
"You're so responsible and mature, Jeonghan. Thank you. You know, you're just the type of man our Seungcheol needs," Seungcheol's mom said, winking at Jeonghan.
"A-Auntie!" Jeonghan blushed.
"How's this shade?" she asked, pointing at a bright red streak on her hand and showing it to Jeonghan. "Actually, on second thought, I think it may look better on you."
"I think a darker red would suit you," Jeonghan told her. Seungcheol's mother nodded and handed Jeonghan the lipstick.
"While I look for another color, try this one on. I bet it'll look great on you," she responded.
"Okay." Jeonghan shrugged and drew a line on his finger with the lipstick. He held it up next to his lips. "How does this look?"
"I like it, but we may need another person's opinion too. Seungcheol?" Seungcheol's mother called. Seungcheol walked over with Seungpo on his shoulders.
"Yeah?"
"What do you think of that shade of lipstick for Jeonghan?" Seungcheol's mom asked him. "Would it look nice on him?"
"I mean, I guess...? All of the shades would look nice on him though," Seungcheol answered. Jeonghan's cheeks heated up.
"Thanks," Jeonghan murmured shyly, tucking a strand of hair behind his ear.
"No problem," Seungcheol replied. He turned to his mother. "Mom, I'm going to go get Seungpo a pretzel from the food court, okay?"
"Alright," she responded. "Ask Jeonghan if he wants something too."
"Jeonghan?" Seungcheol said.
"Um, I'm not that hungry...if you're okay with it, we can split some pretzel bites?" Jeonghan suggested.
"Sure," Seungcheol agreed. "We'll be back soon then."
"Okay." Jeonghan nodded and watched the two brothers walk away together.
"Man, he's so whipped," Seungcheol's mother muttered.
"What?" Jeonghan asked, missing what she said.
"Nothing, nothing," she replied. Jeonghan frowned and shrugged.
