Seungcheol took a sip from his iced coffee happily, savoring the cold, bittersweet taste on his tongue. He placed his drink back on the table and wiped his mouth with a napkin before staring at the male across from him. Jeonghan was drinking large gulps of his beverage from his cup, and Seungcheol could see the other boy's leg bouncing up and down. Was he okay?

"Oh, you've got something on your mouth," Seungcheol realized, picking up one of his clean napkins and using it to wipe away the crumbs on the side of Jeonghan's lips.

"Th-Thanks," Jeonghan stuttered, his body still. Seungcheol frowned.

"You okay? Is something wrong?" Seungcheol worried. Jeonghan shook his head.

"I'm okay! Nothing's wrong! I was just, uh, I was just...thinking about something! Don't worry, I'm fine!" Jeonghan laughed awkwardly.

"You sure?" Seungcheol checked. Jeonghan nodded.

"Perfectly fine!" Jeonghan repeated.

"What were you thinking of? You looked so scared! I was afraid that your eyeballs we're going to pop out of their sockets." Seungcheol chuckled.

"Ah, nothing! Just...our last math test?" Jeonghan answered hesitantly.

"Oh, really? How'd you do on it? I bet you got a perfect score, as always," Seungcheol teased.

"Well...yeah, I did," Jeonghan admitted sheepishly.

"Don't be embarrassed! That's a good thing!" Seungcheol told him. He frowned. "Why'd you look so scared then?"

"I...um...I–"

"Hey, no way! Look who it is, Jihoon-ah! It's Jeonghan and Seungcheol!" Soonyoung's loud voice interrupted Jeonghan. Seungcheol heard Jeonghan let out a deep breath. What was that about?

"Hello, Jeonghannie," Soonyoung drawled, grinning widely.

"Hey Soonyoung," Jeonghan sighed.

"Soonyoung! You can't just interrupt them like that! They were talking!" Jihoon scolded before turning towards Jeonghan and Seungcheol. "Sorry about him."

"It's no problem. Sit, sit. What are you guys doing here?" Seungcheol asked Jihoon.

"Ah, well that's..."

"Isn't it obvious? We're on a date," Soonyoung answered, wrapping an arm around Jihoon's shoulders.

"What?! No we aren't—"

"Is that true? I'm happy for you guys then." Seungcheol smiled at Jihoon then turned to Soonyoung. "Don't you dare hurt him. If you ever make him cry, I'll make you cry."

"Got it!" Soonyoung saluted Seungcheol.

"Well, we'll get going then. Sorry to bother you guys," Jihoon apologized. Seungcheol shook his head.

"You're never a bother, Jihoon. You're my best friend," Seungcheol responded honestly.

"Sorry again. See you guy at school." Jihoon smiled before dragging Soonyoung away from Seungcheol and Jeonghan's table.

Jeonghan and Seungcheol sat quietly for a few minutes, white noises of coffee machines whirring, strangers chattering, and the coffee shop's background music filling the air between them. Seungcheol took small sips of his drink in an attempt to preserve it for as long as he could, and Jeonghan tapped the side of his cup soundlessly. After a while, Jeonghan put his drink back on the table and cleared his throat.

"What's up?" Seungcheol questioned after swallowing a bit of his drink.

"So, um...we're friends now, right?" Jeonghan said. Seungcheol nodded.

"Yeah, why?"

"Well...I don't know. Even though I know a lot about you, I still feel like there's a lot that I don't know about you. Just useless little facts really," Jeonghan explained.

"So? What is it? Do you want to play twenty questions or something?" Seungcheol asked.

"If it's okay with you," Jeonghan answered, blushing cutely. Seungcheol grinned.

"It's cliché, but I don't mind. Do you want to go first, or should I?"

"Oh, really?! You're willing to play it with me?!" Jeonghan looked up from his drink hopefully.

"Aren't you the one who suggested it?" Seungcheol joked. "Sure. I don't mind. Do you want to go first then?"

"Thanks, Seungcheol!" Jeonghan said. "Yeah, I can go first. So, um...favorite color?"

"Red and white. Favorite food?"

"Chicken. Favorite number?"

"Eight. Favorite season?"
