Seungcheol watched quietly as Jeonghan rummaged through the drawers and got out a pair of socks. The long-haired boy sat on his bed and put the socks on his feet, brushing some nonexistent dirt off of his pants as he stood up. Jeonghan grabbed his phone and wallet and stuffed them in his pockets, pulling a jacket out of the closet as he walked towards the door.
"Where are you off to? You leave around this time every Saturday, and you don't come back until it's late. Do you have a secret boyfriend or something?" Seungcheol stopped him. He spoke teasingly, but his gaze was hard.
"Me? You think that I have a boyfriend? That's funny," Jeonghan laughed awkwardly. "No, I actually just go volunteering every week. 9-12 is at the foster care center, and 2-5 is at the animal shelter. Hey...um...do you maybe wanna come with?"
"Me?" Seungcheol repeated. Jeonghan smiled at him.
"There can never be too many people volunteering. Besides, they really do need the help. It's really fun too! The animals are really cute, and sometimes, they even let me play with the kids at the foster care center!" Jeonghan told him brightly.
"Um, sure. Let me just go change, okay?" Seungcheol said. Jeonghan blushed and nodded.

"Well, aren't you just the cutest little thing ever?" Seungcheol cooed at a golden retriever, mussing the dog's fur energetically. Jeonghan laughed good-heartedly.
"They're adorable, aren't they? I get to walk them every week," Jeonghan said.
Seungcheol barely heard him; most of his attention was focused on the giant dog in front of him. Dogs were always too much of a luxury for their family, something they couldn't afford to take care of, so Seungcheol would always go over to his friends' houses to play with their pets instead.
"Jeonghan, take a picture of me," Seungcheol demanded rather than asked, holding out his phone. Jeonghan rolled his eyes fondly, but obliged.
"Smile!" Jeonghan said. "On the count of three. One, two, three!"
"Let me see, let me see!" Seungcheol requested excitedly. Jeonghan gave him back his phone.
"He wasn't really looking at the camera when I took it–" Jeonghan started to say.
"Jeonghan, look at this small angel. I swear, dogs are too good for this world, oh my god, look, he's wagging his tail," Seungcheol ranted, interrupting Jeonghan.
"Alright, Seungcheol," Jeonghan chuckled.
"The picture is nice too, so don't worry. Hey, let's take a picture together with the dog!" Seungcheol exclaimed, grabbing Jeonghan's arm and pulling him over.
"Wait, I don't–" Jeonghan tried to respond.
"Ready? Smile! Kimchi!" Seungcheol said, wrapping an arm around Jeonghan and taking a selfie of the three of them.
"Look! He even looked at the camera!" Seungcheol brightly pointed out. Jeonghan grinned.
"Send that to me. I want to put it as my new background," Jeonghan said.
"I've already done both of those," Seungcheol teased, sticking his tongue out. He got up and dusted himself off, offering a hand to Jeonghan.
"You know, I really thought you hated me," Jeonghan quietly told him as they walked side-by-side. Seungcheol frowned.
"I kinda did, you know? But I don't really know why..." Seungcheol trailed off. That was a lie. He knew why; it was just a stupid reason.
"You don't hate me anymore, right?" Jeonghan worried. Seungcheol shook his head.
"I've realized that you're actually a pretty cool dude," Seungcheol told him honestly.
"That's a relief. I'm glad," Jeonghan smiled. Seungcheol blushed. Jeonghan looked so beautiful standing there in the sunlight. Seungcheol could watch him all day...
"Crap! Hazel, come back!"
