"Morning" I whined groggily, sautering into the kitchen and making a beeline for the fridge. Lucy was sitting up at the breakfast bar, showered, dressed, make up and hair perfect, eating her cereal. I envied her. She had always been an annoyingly cheery morning person. I pulled out the carton of orange juice and drank straight from it. I could see Lucy's disgusted look out of the corner of my eye, but she wisely decided not to comment and continued chasing her cornflakes around her bowl.
I gulped down the last of the juice and threw the carton in the bin.
"So what's the plan for today?" I asked.
"Well uni starts next week so I thought we should make the most of the time we have, doing stuff."
"Like...?"
"Shopping, sightseeing, maybe hit a few clubs, you know."
I nodded in approval.
"So shopping today?" I questioned hopeful.
She smiled and nodded.
"Okay I'm off to get ready" I said hopping down from the barstool.
"Won't be long" I called behind me.

Lucy and I had just about broken any sort of budget we may have originally had. I was practically drowning in bags from Topshop, H&M, New Look and River Island. We found a nice little restaurant in central London and stopped for a bite to eat. Lucy had a ceaser salad and I had tomato and basil pasta.
"Oh, I forgot to mention, I met some of our neighbours the other day" Lucy said, inbetween mouthfuls of lettuce and chicken.
"Oh yeah" I encouraged her to continue.
"Well there's Mr Gillmore, a millionare and his wife Claudia, young enough to be his granddaughter." I laughed at her rudeness and bad habit of being too quick to judge.
"Mrs Robinson, recently divorced, owns a catering business and is suffering a mid-life crisis."
"And there's a lovely boy our age called Jonathan, bats for the other side, if you know what I mean.
I laughed at this one.
"Oh and another cute boy our age as well. I waited for the words I wanted to hear.
"Straight and single!"
We squealed immaturely.
"He is a sex god, honestly! I just about fainted when I bumped into him yesterday." She said exaggerating by fanning her face.
I gasped. "I can't wait to meet this guy! What's his name?"
Lucy shook her head and smirked evilly. "I can't say, it will ruin the surprise."
That was weird. What surprise?
Authors Note
Firstly I hope none of you get offended by my gay comment. I mean it in a humorous sense. It's a commonly used euphemism, so no hate! I totally support same-sex relationships and equal love so please don't get your knickers in a twist!
I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Who do you think the mystery neighbour is??
