Chapter 18

I had completely forgotten about my lunch with Lucy. I quickly texted her apologising and wishing her luck for her lecture.

I finished of the remains of my food and bidded Finn goodbye with a hug.

"I'll see you tomorrow." he smiled.

I made my way back to my car with a smile on my face. I was secretly really looking forward to this fashion show. I think it will be a great experience for me.

Once I arrived home I decided I deserved a dip in the hot tub. I grabbed my bikini and a towel and made my way to the second floor.

I swiped my key card and walked into the pool complex. It was a lot larger than I had expected. A six lane 25m pool, a hot tub, a sauna room and up a flight of stairs looking down on the pool was the gym. It was nicely decorated as well, different shades of blue tiling, large green plants and mahogany seats outlining the leisure space.

I got changed and put my bag into a locker. I looked around and there were a couple of men swimming laps and a woman in the sauna, but lucky for me I would be unaccompanied in the hot tub.

I twisted my hair into a tidy bun and slowly sunk down into the bubbling water letting the warmth take over my senses and relax me. I lent back and closed my eyes, the water gently pooling around my shoulders.

"Hey Love!"

I was started awake by the familiar voice. Louis.

"Oh, hey." I replied surprised to see him.

I rubbed my eyes so I was fully awake.

"Decided to have a little nap I see."

"I guess so" I laughed.

There was a slight pause before he sunk down into the water himself and spoke again.

"So how are things with Niall?" He asked.

"Good."

"What about Harry?"

"Average."

"Ella you know I can read you like I book. You don't feel the same way about Niall as you do Harry. Admit it."

I stuttered "Er, I um, I really like Niall." I flustered.

"That as maybe, but you love Harry don't you."

My silence was the only confirmation he needed.

He grinned knowingly. "He loves you too you know."

I shook my head, not believing a word.

"Don't be stupid." I scoffed.

"I'm not, it's obvious, I'm surprised Niall hasn't caught on."

"Well he hasn't caught on, and as long as you keep your mouth shut it can stay that way, I want to make things work with him."

"Alright." Louis threw his hands up in defeat. "It's only going to make things harder though."

I stared at Louis, thinking about what he just said, he was right, the longer I took trying to make things work with Niall, the longer I had to suffer loving Harry and not being able to act on those feelings. I really like Niall though and I'm confident that I could love him in time.

I turned around and pushed myself out of the water. I grabbed my towel and wrapped it around my dripping body.

"I'll see you round." Louis waved.

I just nodded.

Ok, I apologise for how boring the chapters are at the moment. There is no excuse.

Well actually there kinda is. I know what I want to happen, it just isn't ready to happen yet.
