Chapter Twenty-One

Skye's P.O.V

Ariel ran out of the dining room tears streaming down her face. I immediately stood up from my chair.

" Ari what's wrong ?!"

She couldn't get any words out. I walked her into the lounge and sat we down. " Ari what's wrong tell me. "

" they're gone." She just about managed to choke up before her eyes began flooding with more tears.

" who's gone Ari ?!" I said my lips beginning to quiver. All Ariel had to do was just look at me for me to know that our mum and dad were dead. I burst into tears we sat in the lounge uncontrollably crying. I sobbed into my hands before wrapping Ariel in my arms and sobbing into her shoulder. At that moment Harry and Louis walked in. I felt an arm on my back I looked up to see Louis.

" it will be okay." Louis whispered. " they're gone nothing is ok." I said resting my head in his shoulders. I saw harry awkwardly trying to comfort Ariel who was still crying. Suddenly the phone rang. Josh picked it up and walked into the room passing the phone to me. I wiped my tears from my eyes. I cleared my throat

" h-hello?"

" oh sweetie you've been crying. Is Ariel okay. We can come home if you want ?" Cheska spoke warily over the phone .

" no it's fine you stay , we will be fine." I said before hanging up the phone and running upstairs. I cried into my pillow before falling asleep.

I woke up the next morning. Makeup smudged over my pillow remembering the event from the previous night. I went and had a wash and I scraped my hair back into a messy bun. I put on some joggers and a baggy jumper. No way was I going to school today. I wondered downstairs to find josh in the kitchen.

" where is everyone ?"

" school." He replied looking up from his plate of egg and toast

" where's Ariel?"

" harry and Ariel went out, to take her mind off things, weird i know." He said smiling. I nodded and sat down staring at the table.

" you hungry?" He asked

" no." I replied.

" well do you want to do something ?" He asked . I thought about if for a while.

" why not." I briefly smiled.

" we could set up this slip n slide thing, it hot enough" josh replied pointing outside.

" cool, I'll go and get changed." I walked into my room and pulled out my old Hollister bikini and walked into the bathroom to get changed. When I came back out Ariel was standing in our room.

" Oh your back!" I said thankfully .

" yeah i just went to go get some breakfast with harry, where are you going?" She asked me her eye brows raised.

" me and josh were gonna chill in the garden, you should join us." I said smiling .

" sure ill go get changed. ". 3 minutes later Ariel came out with her blue Hollister bikini.

" let's go!" I said charging out into the garden. Where josh was already in his surf shorts and so was harry. The slip and slide was all set up, Down the hill of there garden.

" looking good ." Harry smiled I saw Ariel blushing from the corner of my eye, what was going on? Did Harry Higgins just pay someone a compliment, even Josh looked slightly shocked.

" so who's going first?" I asked everyone's eyes turned to harry.

" ok Harry you go!" Josh said. Harry groaned and rolled his eyes took a run up before jumping face down the slide.

" ok Josh's go." Ariel squealed pushing josh down.

"Arghhhh!" Josh yelled from the bottom.

" let's both go!" I said holding up a rubber ring. We both jumped in and slid down full speed before tumbling out at the end.

" wooooo!" We both screamed .

" hahahaha race to the top !" Josh yelled getting a head start. After a good hour of sliding down . We all sat around on towels and sunbathed

. " so about these rowan brothers?" I asked josh.

" okay well.." Josh started. Suddenly the rest of the boys burst into the garden .

" there out here!" Niall yelled summoning Louis, Liam, and zayn.

" hey you set it up without me ." Niall groaned. He came and sat down this us thought

" so you were saying?" Ariel asked. I held my breath waiting for the answer.
