The next morning, I woke up bright and early to start up my day.
I went out to jog around the school, but ran into someone as I tripped on my shoelaces.
"Tie your shoelaces, I wouldn't want you to fall for anyone else." A familiar voice said.
"Jaeryn." I said, taking myself off of him.
"What is long, hard, and in front of you?" he asked with a smirk.
"Ew, did not need to know that." I said cringing.
"You must be trash, because I'd like to take you out." he said leaning on the walls.
I narrowed my eyes and crossed my arms.
"Will you be my girlfrien? You'll get the D later." he said smirking.
I gagged but laughed, and waited for him to continue.
"Which is easier? Getting you into those tight pants, or getting you out of them?" He asked.
I laughed and gave him an amused face.
"You know, if all of your pickup lines weren't so bad, you'd actually get someone." I congradulated, even clapping for him.
He smirked.
"You have no idea. These lines are the reason for all the ladies in the hotel rooms every night babe." he said.
"That was information I did not need to know." I said backing up a bit.
"Let me try another one." he said before clearing his throat. "What has 36 teeth, and holds back the big and mighty hulk? My zippers." he said laughing.
"Oh my goodness!" I said covering my face.
"Whacha think? I bet you totally want me now. But unfortunately, I'm not into you. Sorry." he said brushing off invisible dust off his shoulders.
I snorted.
"Thats funny. That was actually so funny that I almost laughed." I said.
"What are you doing so early anyway?" I asked.
"Actually, waiting for you. Wanted to see if those lines were any good. And by your expressions, I can safely say that they work perfectly. You blushed so hard, someone'll think you already jogged already." he teased.
"Shut up!" I said slapping him.
"How could I shut such an angelic voice like mine? That would be a crime." he said.
"Go to hell." I said playfully.
"Already here. I mean, I'm next to you, right?" He said bumping my shoulders in a playful manner.
"Heh. You're right. I guess we are. 'Cause you definitely aren't a person who'll make it into heaven." I said laughing.
"Go jog. I'll be back with more. You be ready." He said narrowing his eyes and pointing his finger at me while slowly slipping into the school.
I laughed as I shook my head and started my stretch.
"I didn't know you were on such close terms with Jaeryn." Seidon said from behind me, Caprian following his trail.
"We aren't. Actually, that was my second encounter with him. He was testing out pick-up lines." I said.
They both looked at each other and both looked at me weird.
"What?" I asked, feeling self conscious.
"Jaeryn- ." Seidon stopped suddenly. "Nevermind. Were you going on a jog?" He asked.
"Yeah. But I guess Jaeryn held me up for a while. I'll be back in about thirty minutes." I said waving at them before taking off.
--
And approximately thirty minutes later, I finally stopped in front of our dorm out of breath and sweaty.
"There you are. I told you I would come back, so I am back. I have more." Jaeryn's voice came from behind me.
I smiled as I turned around, and greeted him.
"Hold up. I need to take a quick shower. You can say them after." I said, opening the dorm room for us to go into.
I grabbed some clothes and some undergarments and headed in the bathroom for a five minute shower.
When I came out, I caught Jaeryn looking at some old family pictures I put up on the coffee table near the couch.
"That's old. That's like three years old." I told him.
"Oh. Your brother's name is Noah, right?" He asked, pointing to my brother's geeky picture.
"Yeah. He'd kill me if he knew I had that picture for people to see." I chuckled, laying on the couch.
"How old is your brother?" He asked.
"Just a year younger. But he still is my baby brother." I said, smiling at the picture.
"That's nice. I have a younger sister that's like best friend's with Caprian's sister." He explained.
"That's cool. I always wanted that. I also wanted a guy best friend that I can count on, and one day marry him and have perfect children with." I said daydreaming.
"Then you wouldn't be able to marry me" He complained.
I laughed.
"Nice try." I said. "Just say what you came here for and leave."
He cleared his throat and sat down next to me and looked me straight in the eyes.
"Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked.
I stayed quiet for a couple seconds, trying to figure out how that would be a pick up line, but just sorted it as a blunt confession.
"Well I guess that could work." I said leaning back.
"Really?" He asked confused.
"Yeah. Though not the pick-up line I thought I was going to get." I said with my confused face on.
"If you want, I can do a pick-up line." He said excited.
"Sure. Isnt that what you're here for?" I asked, preparing myself.
"On a scale of 1 to 10, you're a 9 and I'm the 1 you need." He said, smiling at my laugh.
"That's good." I said laughing.
"Alright, I got a couple more." He said.
"My magical watch says you arent wearing any panties. You are? Oh, must be a hour fast." he said, smiling even bigger at my laughing.
"I bet I could kiss you without touching you." he said before quickly landing a kiss on my lips, leaving me stunned and confused.
"Oh, it seems I lost the bet." He said grinning.
My eyes were still wide and still in shock, trying to process what had happened.
"Well, I guess I have to go. I need to meet someone at breakfast. See you later." He said smiling as he left.
What the crap just happened?
