"Mo...mother.." I said with wide eyes. She had a cup of brand coffee in her right hand, her sunglasses in her left. There were lines of anxious school administration behind her. She shifted her head a little to see the guys behind me.
"Hm. I did hear about your... situation, but I didn't think it'd be so serious. There's not a girl in sight." She said looking at all the staring boys in the cafe.
"Ms. Bonheur, I assure you there was nothing of the sort of foul-play with your daughter and any of our male students. But school was registered as a unisex school when your daughter was admitted." the school administrative assured.
"I don't care. But my daughter shouldn't be the first and only girl in this school." My mother said waving her coffee in the air.
"Actually..." A teacher interrupted from the back. "There is another girl that transferred, but only through paper. She's arriving on Monday actually."
"Yes, great, you get another student. But that doesn't matter any more because I'm pulling my daughter from this school." She said.
"Mom!" I objected.
"No, Feyrah. A young woman like yourself shouldn't be wrapped up in an environment will with only males!" My mother said giving me that look that meant that there will be arguing.
"Well, the administration is thinking about combining this school with the sister school, the all girls school. So then it would be fine?" Asked a cool-headed teacher.
My mother hesitates as she thinks.
"But I'll only let her come back when the boys here and the girls there are walking down the hallways together and going to classes together. That is all. I won't pull her out for now, but she won't be attending until then." My mother says finally before turning and heading back with the teachers at her heels once again. "Come on, Feyrah." She shouts.

I turn back to the boys who were all staring at me.
"Uh... I guess I'll see you later then? Um.. text me." I said awkwardly as I started to walk out, but was stopped by Seidon's hand around my arm."Hold on, we have to at least see you out." He said, as they followed me out.
My mother was waiting by the front doors with her personal escorts and driver.
She held out her arm for me to occupy it with and I said a quick goodbye before following her down.
"Mom, why did you fly all the way here?" I asked once we were in the car.
"I had some work to do here, don't you remember? I have a growing workshop here. I had to come by anyway, and then I heard the news from one of the workers there." She said.
"Mom I was serious when I said nothing happened." I told her.
"And I'm serious that once they have girls walking down that hall you'll be able to go back." She countered.
"Mom... I can't just leave..."
"Then you won't. I'll have you work at the workshop. You can get some experience for the real thing and you can stay here. You'll be getting a tutor so you won't be behind academically." She said simply, directing our driver to our hotel.
I sighed but didn't say more. This was probably the best that she was going to offer. I was just going to make it worse.
**
The next day, my mom woke me up early to have me tour the workshop and start working, which was unnecessary because if I was going to take off time from school, I should have had a couple days to rest, but, my mom is all workaholic.
