Thirty

Once everyone was somewhat clean and less oily, we sat on the couches with the pizza that we ordered when we decided to give up on the homemade meals.

As I reached for my last slice of pineapple pizza, Jaeryn snatched it from the tips of my fingers.

"Hm... I know you didn't just take my slice." I gave him a threatening smile.

"Oh, my apologies. I thought it was my slice." He said purposely ripping a bite.

I gave him a hateful glare and proceeded with a sip of my lemonade.

Oh, how he makes my soul boil.

I glanced over at Kali who was perfectly happy pretending she was sleeping on a comfortable Seidon. I smiled. They definitely deserved each other.

Caprian was beside me while Jaeryn sat on the other side of me.

I comfortably made myself a human nest out of polyester blankets and Caprian's body.

No one was really watching the Bachelor that was playing. I don't even want to know why the Pan brothers have this show as the primary show on their TV.

"After you going to work tomorrow?" Caprian asked in a small voice, trying not to wake the sleeping couple on the opposite couch.

"Yeah. It doesn't seem bad yet, so I can't tell if I like it or not." I answered honestly.

Suddenly I remembered that I forgot to tell my mom that I was gone for the evening so I quickly whipped out my phone and saw that she texted me the times before resorting to calls. But she only called twice so it must not be too serious.

I texted my mom that I was sorry and told her my situation. Luckily she answered quickly and just reminded me to be at work tomorrow.

Sometime later Jaeryn dozed off and of course, it was up to me to make sure he was as uncomfortable as possible. I threw a blanket over his head and blocked his airways until he woke up annoyed.

He didn't even bother with a mature conversational argument. He went immediately into tackling me.

He sat his heavy ass on my chest so I couldn't kick him off.

I thought of spitting on him but decided against as I recalled physics if I missed.

He came in real close, to the point where I could see the details of his eyes, and was about to say something before Caprian tackled him.

Seidon sobered up quickly with Kaili on his tail. They wanted in on the "fun" so they also joined tackling the sprawling two on the ground.

I just looked on like I was a supervising parent at a wild child's party who was failing at her job.

Soon enough, I was dragged in again, and I was sandwiched between Jaeryn below me and Caprian on top of me with Seidon on top of him and Kaili on top of him. I coughed out a tough breath and doubled tapped in surrender.

Even when everyone was off of me, I felt light-headed so I just laid there dead on Jaeryn's back.

"Get off, princess. I'm not some bed. And it's not like you're light as a feather." He unnecessarily commented.

I stuck my middle finger in his face before heavily pushing off of him.

I motioned to Caprian to the kitchen which he gladly agreed to.

Even though it was like three in the morning, Caprian and I indulged ourselves in vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup.

I was around four when Seidon full on passed out on the couch. Kaili played with his hair for a couple minutes before she also fell asleep.
