Dean was checking himself in the mirror, trying to decide if he should bail at last minute, but also thinking if he should go because Castiel might be there.
But what if he wasn't?
Dean couldn't really think of what he would do if he wasn't there. Just leave?
But then Garth would question why he suddenly left.
Dean at last minute decided he would go. Why not have a little more fun before classes start?
"Dean! Are you ready! It's about to start!" Garth was yelling through the bathroom door.
He opened the door and Garth was standing right in front of him. "Outta my way. It's time to go."
Garth smiled wide and moved out of his way. Dean started making his way to the building where the party was, Garth close behind.
A lot of people were already making there way there.
"No kidding, this is a big party."
"I told you!"
"Yeah yeah, right."
They finally made it to the building where music was pouring from the doors and a ton of people were already there. Dean pushed open the doors and walked in.
Immediately his eyes searched around the room for a bright blue eye or the flutter of a trench coat.
After a few minutes of searching Garth finally pulled him away and got them some drinks.
Dean had to admit, after a few drinks, it was a really great party.
He danced and sang, and forgot about the boy with the trench coat.
Dean had just finished dancing and singing to "Eye Of The Tiger" and was walking back to the drink tables when he ran into someone.
"Hi again." There was a low chuckle that Dean recognized.
Dean looked down at Castiel. "You're here!"
Castiel hiccuped slightly "I've been here for a while! Where have you been?"
"Dancing and singing. And drinking." He motioned to his somehow full cup now. He frowned as the liquid splashed out of the cup. "It was empty a second ago."
Castiel had a beautiful smile on his face "That doesn't matter! We are here to party, so it was good it was filled anyway!"
"You know, for someone who was all calm and not all emotional," Dean took a long drink from his cup. "You for sure loosen up when you're drunk."
Castiel seemed to completely ignore that and grabbed Dean by the wrist. "C'mon! Let's dance!"
Dean quickly drank the rest of whatever was in his cup and threw it away. He ran with Castiel to the dance floor where they danced to a lot of songs.
It has just gotten to the seventh song they were going to dance to when Castiel stopped suddenly.
Dean stopped when his partner did. "What's up?"
"Just tired." Castiel was breathing heavily and hiccuping.
"Come on, buddy." He helped Castiel find a place and sat down next to him.
Castiel was fine and they both began talking about their family and what it was like to be with them.
Dean was talking about Sam and how much he he hated leaving him when Castiel became rigid and suddenly looked at Dean.
"Is something wrong?" Dean sat up all the way.
Castiel relaxed a little and looked away at all the flashing lights. The colors reflecting off his eyes made them even more beautiful, as Dean was thinking.
"You know, I never met someone as beautiful as you, Dean." Castiel kept staring at all the lights.
Dean looked up at him as Castiel turned to him. He seemed to have realized what he had said and his relaxed face changed to one of horror.
"Excuse me." Castiel said as he quickly got up and ran out.
"Castiel, wait!" Dean called after him and got up.
Castiel had disappeared but it didn't take long to track down where he was.
He was standing by the front doors of the building, leaning against the wall with his face covered by his hands.
"Castiel...?"
"I'm so sorry Dean... You probably don't even like me and I just..." Castiel stopped talking because he realized Dean hasn't answered. He uncovered his face and looked at Dean.
But again in the moonlit entryway of the building, Castiel was looking amazing, and well, Dean was pretty drunk. He couldn't think straight but he knew what he wanted to do.
"Shut up." Dean said.
Castiel looked pretty hurt. "I don't understand...?"
"I'm sorry... But I meant to say 'shut up and kiss me.'"
Dean grabbed Castiel's tie and pulled him off the wall and towards him.
A second later, their lips collided and the clear thoughts Dean had left began to become foggy.
