Connor told me that we were going out for lunch and maybe snacks as well. I grabbed out my black floral spaghetti strapped crop top and a blue pleated high waist skirt with buttons and my ankle boots to top it all off.
I curled my hair into a loose curl and put it into a half updo then pulled out some bits in the front. I did a natural eye with a cat liner. "Kat! Are you done?" He knocked on my door. I grabbed my phone and my purse from my table.
I opened the door and saw Connor wearing a navy blue polo shirt folded up to look like a 3/4 shirt, then topped it off with brown pants. "You good to go?" He asked as he hooked my arm with his. "Yep."
We left my house and entered his car. We stopped in front of a restaurant, The Gold Petal. Sounds fancy. We left the car and entered this Italian restaurant filled with fancy people. "Table for how many?" The waitress asked. "Two."
We followed her to a table for two, go figure, and we sat down. She gave us a menu and we started scrolling through. "What if we have the Bruschetta as a starter then I'll just have Gnocci. Then maybe some Margherita pizza?" I asked as he nodded. "I'll just have the ravioli." He said as he closed the menu and I looked at the waitress who was rapidly down our orders.
"Drinks?" She looked at the both of us. "I'll just have root beer and you?" He looked at me. "I'll have root beer as well. " The waitress left us and dear Lord, was this going to get any worst. Stacey and Jake walked in and Stacey looked like she had a muffin top in front, I mean her baby was growing fast.
"Oh God, Stacey and Jake." I said as I covered my eyes with my hands. "Hello!" Stacey exclaimed as Jake pulled out a chair from the other table and brought it near us. This was a two seated table, do you expect 4 people would fit? Connor and I were just seated beside the restaurant's wall and yeah.
The waitress approached us and said, "I'm sorry. Would you like to move to a table with more room?" "No, I'm perfectly fine. They need a separate table." Connor said as the waitress nodded.
"Would you mind moving to another table?" Stacey nodded. "I want a table beside theirs, please." Oh God, please make this stop. They eventually left the both of us alone. But they were seated directly behind us. I feel like I couldn't talk since we were being watched.
"Is everything okay?" I shook my head. I raised my hand and the waitress walked to our table. "Could we please stay in another table? I mean it's quite uncomfortable in here." I said as I tucked my hair on my ear. "Sure."
I walked out of my chair and Connor followed. We sat down wherein you used a "sofa" for seats and we sat across each other. After about 5 minutes waiting, the Bruschetta came. And so did the pizza. "So what are we gonna do after we eat?" I asked as I pulled out one of the slices of Bruschetta out of the basket.
"Maybe go to the carnival.." "Again?" I asked as I bit my teeth through the bread. "Well, what do you want to do?"
"Arcade maybe?" I asked as he nodded. "Arcade it is."
There was this one arcade where there was a Ferris wheel and a roller coaster in it. After we finished the pizza, our dishes came. We talked about some rational stuff, and then this one topic hit me. "Hey, about your anxiety." I fucked up. My heart started to race.
"Connor, please don't talk about that here. I might get a panic attack." I said as I breathed in and out deeply. "Oh shit, sorry."
"Oh yeah, when are you planning to introduce me to your parents?" I asked as I stabbed the Gnocchi on my fork and ate it. "Probably about a month from now."
"What about you?"
"When they come back, hopefully."
"So, do you play League of Creatures?" He asked as my face lit up and I nodded. "Oh my God, I wouldn't expect a girl to play LOC."
