Chapter Three
~~Nina's Point Of View~~
My jaw dropped as I looked between Daemon and Derek before turning back to my brother. "You think Anthony already knows about us?"
Claw nodded as he squeezed Bethany's hand. "He's been hearing rumors about a black wolf with Bethany's wolf from patrols."
Derek groaned scrubbing my face. "But no one has said anything to me about seeing a black wolf. I would know."
I grinned. "Not after what you did to Jake several years ago when he and Charlie came in after seeing me the night I met Ian."
Ian chuckled. "You mean the night I crossed into this territory as a rogue. The moment my life changed forever." He rubbed my shoulder.
"But that doesn't explain why I haven't heard about any of the patrols seeing you running with Bethany." Derek's eyes were on my brother frowning.
"It does if you had scared them so much that they feared bringing it to you. They must have gone to my father as a back up." Bethany shifted in her seat. "My dad does have nearly as much respect among the pack as you do." She smiled at Derek.
Derek smiled right back. "He's really stepped up and has become a great second."
Bethany shrugged. "I knew he would. He just couldn't do anything other than be awesome. It's not in his nature."
Derek laughed. "That he can't."
My brother looked at me. "I kind of want to tell Bethany's parents about what we are."
I smiled. "I knew you would want to eventually." And I had ever since I met Anthony after my brother and Bethany became mates. He was happy to know his daughter has her mate and was one of the few that helped me learn self defense. As Bethany and I became closer friends, Anthony and his wife have gotten used to me coming over, even if it was to give them a baked treat while Bethany was away with college.
My brother looked at me a bit funny. "You did?"
I nodded. "They're Bethany's parents and we were bound to tell them at some point. They'll be family soon." Then I looked at him anxious. "Do you think they'll be with us?"
But it was Derek who answered. "I doubt they would go against us. Anthony is one of the mot loyal of all wolves." He looked to Bethany. "And I doubt his daughter would be mated to Nick if they both wouldn't be on our side. Kin loyalty aside."
He clapped his hands with a smile. "So how are we going to do this?"
~~~
I smiled as I sat on the desk behind Derek's main desk. Daemon stood beside me with his hand on my waist. My legs swinging delicately from under the desk and slightly in front of my before it returned and repeated.
I was excited to see how Anthony and his wife takes the revelation. Bethany sat next to me and was holding my hand. She was nervous about her father's actual reaction to seeing my brother in all his royal wolf glory. Though she's their daughter, she wasn't fully sure how they'd take seem a 'pure one' as many call us.
Anthony sat in one of the guest seats frowning at his daughter. Bethany had brought him and his wife here not telling them anything but that Derek wanted to speak with them both about something. Something most important. I know Anthony was beyond puzzled why both of them were here, but accepted that it had to do with his wife too.
Bethany's mother, Josette, looked ten times more puzzled than Anthony did. Claw had said that Anthony suspects, but hasn't right out said anything about us being royals. Daemon has gone out and talked with several patrols and they have admitted to going to Anthony about seeing a black wolf with Bethany's wolf and a white wolf with him. Thankfully they only told Anthony this and no one else, even among others of the pack.
