*Laurance's POV*

I cant believe we almost kissed.. And I also can't believe she pulled away. She's been acting strange since the family dinner her and Aphmau's family apparently had. Maybe I should ask Aphmau? Does she know anything about this?

But heck, even I have been feeling weird ever since I met Riley. And I keep thinking about what happened yesterday.

And who's the girl she's talking about? I don't know since She's the only girl on my mind.
Aphmau has been very awkward around me too for some reason. I mean she hung out with Gene. I really didn't expect that.
Gene..
I don't know what came over me when she was in his embrace and how he called her.. Gorgeous. I just felt this sudden anger, and I really couldn't control it.

And when I saw Travis and Riley... I watched the whole thing. They were talking, laughing.. Blushing..

And I was standing there like an idiot. Riley noticed and we kept our eye contact. I really didn't want it to end. And when I snapped out of it, I took a quick glance, and Riley was already talking away with.. Him.

I don't even know the guy. But the day I saw his head in her lap. I knew I wasn't going to like him very much.

And I really don't like him. He makes her laugh, and I make her run away. He hugs her and she won let go, she nearly kisses me and then she pulls away.

I admit it, I'm jealous of the guy. I'm jealous because he brings her happiness. I used to be that guy. And that was only a couple of days ago.

I have barely been getting any sleep, I'm still so confused, about Riley what did she mean? The only other girls she can possibly mean is Katelyn or Aphmau..

Something happened at that dinner.

I looked at my phone swiping through old pictures. I stopped at a recent one that I didn't notice before.

It was a selfie with Riley whilst I was behind her, chasing her. She took my phone when we had Lunch break.

She was laughing and I was grinning.

I put the photo as my screensaver and I smiled.
Oh Riley, what did you do to me?

After an hour of just staring at my phone and at Riley's contact. I finally called.

She picked up.

"Hey Riley... We need to talk"

"Yeah..."

"So, about what happened earlier.."

"I guess we can just forget-"

"Why did you pull away?" I cut her of.

Silence.

"I guess I was just scared... And i didn't want to ruin our friendship" why did that word hurt so much...

"Oh, well you shouldn't have. I kinda felt teased. It's supposed to be the other way around" I joked.

I heard a soft giggle from the other end, and a smile immediately made its way to my face.
