Riley's POV*

I sighed as I looked down at the table in front of me. Tears streaming down my cheeks.

"Honey, I'm sorry. But you will have a great time with your cousins" my mom said holding my hands.

"But I'm gonna miss everyone here, why do I have to go?" I said sobbing.

"Oh Sugarpea, the new school you're going to is a great opportunity for you" she said putting her hand in my cheek.

"Then why am I going alone? Why isn't Garroth coming with me?" I asked.

Dad sighed, he was leaning against the door frame.

"Your brother is the star player in his soft ball team, he can't go" I got red in anger.

"So you're saying he has a purpose here but u don't?!" I yelled.

"You can do better" he said.

"I'm perfectly fine here! My grades are doing great, I got the lead role last year in drama club, I have friends, a boyfriend that supports me but I can do better?!"

My mom sighed and looked down. I stood up from my chair and looked at them both in anger.

"You're sending me away to cousins I didn't even know I had! All because you want me to get better? BULLSHIT" I yelled.

"Maria Elizabeth Ro'Meave!" My dad yelled.

"You just want to send me away! What did I do?!" I yelled.

"Go to your room and pack! You're leaving tomorrow" he said.

I ran up to my room and opened my door.
Revealing my three brothers in my room.

They all looked up and I fell down in the floor, sobbing.

They walked up to me and hugged me on the floor.
They had heard everything that was said

And I'm glad I didn't have to explain.

The door bell rang and I sighed, a tear falling down my cheek.

I ran downstairs and opened the door.
"Oh my Irene Riley, you've had me worried sick" Laurance said cupping my cheeks.
I took my hands on on his. And I started crying.

His eyes were immediately filled with worry.

He embraced me in a hug and my head was laying on his chest.
"Let's go up to your room and talk ok?" He said. I nodded and he took my hand.

Leading me to my own room.
He sat me in my bed and sat on the floor with my hands in his.

"What is it babe?" He asked.

I sobbed one last time and looked into his eyes.
"My parents are sending me off to a new school, I'm moving in with my cousins" I said.

His eyes were instantly filled with sadness.
"W-When are you going" he stuttered.
"In a few hours" I said.
His breath got hitched and he looked at me like I was the only girl in the world.
