Prom Night

*Riley's POV*

Garroth and I walked out of school.

My face was pure red. I just asked Laurance to prom...

Garroth stopped.

"Ok. Why are you as red as a tomato" he said, crossing his arms.

"I.." I played with the hem of my shirt.

"Spill.." He said.

"I asked a boy to prom" I said.

His eyes widened.

"WHAT?!" He exclaimed. People looked at us and I blushed even redder.

"WHO?!" He said.

"L-Laurance" I said.

He calmed down.

"Oh, well I guess that's fine... BUT HE IS NOT ALOUD TO TOUCH YOU" he said.

I rolled my eyes.

"So who are you going with?" I asked.

"Katelyn, she's been feeling so down about Jeffory so I thought.." He stopped.

Because I couldn't help but hug him.
"Aww, thank you for doing this for Katelyn" he chuckled and hugged me back.

We got home and walked up to our mother. She was looking into a dress magazine.

"AWW MY TWO LITTLE GROWN UPS ARE HOME" She walked up to us and hugged his both.

"Mom" I groaned.

She pulled away.
"Oh I'm sorry, it's just you two grow up so fast and you're going to prom!" She squealed and took my arm and dragged me over to the table.

Garroth smirked and walked upstairs to his room.

"I have the perfect dress for you!" She squealed and pointed at something in the magazine.

"Mom I'm going to have two other proms after this one you don't have to buy me anything, I'll just borrow something from my friends.." I said.

"Honey, you're my only daughter. Let me spoil you for a bit" she Said winking.

I rolled my eyes and looked at the dress.

My eyes almost popped out of my head.
It was beautiful...

"Mom.." I looked up at her.

"Isn't it beautiful? It's your favorite color too" she smiled.

It's also his favorite color..

I smiled.
"Yup we're getting it!" She squealed.
She closed the magazine.

"Aren't we supposed to look at other dresses too?" I asked.

"I know that look, and I know you're going to look beautiful in it sweetheart" she hugged me and I hugged back.

"So tell me.. Who are you going with?" She asked, clearly interested.

"I-I'm going with Laurance" I stuttered, blushing.

She squealed.

"Who's Garroth going with?" She asked.

"Katelyn" I said.

Mom clapped her hands.

"Oh Katelyn, she's such a sweet girl" she said.
