Chapter Twenty-two Emily

I wake up to the harsh morning call. I jump out of bed, in a good mood and I skip lively over to my dresser. I take my uniform out and put it on. Next, I brush my hair and wash my face. Then, I go down to breakfast. I see Taj and Zayne sitting with Cecelia, but I drag her away to another table and the boys turn the other direction to talk to their freinds and Julia. We both sit quietly at a table together. I take some bread, two slices; enough for one breakfast and I'll maybe keep some for break, if it's even allowed. Cecelia is not eating much, but we talk. We talk about normal things, things that happen everyday. Even though getting kidnapped does not happen that often, we discuss it.
After breakfast, we are going to go back to our rooms, but Cecelia wants to come in mine. I let her in, and she sits on my bed and reads magazines and re does her makeup as I get ready for the day. I order a bag, put my class stuff in it, etc. One minute before the bell rings, Cecelia rushes to her room and packs her stuff. We both meet up in the main hallway, where the classes are. We have basic maths first, and the things we learn in this class are easy, pretty much a review of what we did from 1st grade all the way to about sixth grade, and maybe even the work from seventh grade. I have a slight feeling that Cecelia is in a pretty bad mood today, but for me, it's the total opposite. I'm energetic, lively, and impatient for creatures and elemental class later today.
After basic maths class, we have health class. This time, we get to heal a headache. It's a little more complicated, and not the whole class can do it. After many many tries, I finally get rid if it. The worst part about this class is that you actually get hurt, it's not as if it was on a mannequin or something.
The people who couldn't manage to do the exercise called the teacher, and he did it for them. But that was only at the end of class. So, those people has to "suffer" from the headache for longer than the ones who could heal themselves.  (Aka the entire period)
During break, I decide to go alone to my own room, without anyone bothering me. I realize that it's been a while since I've written in my journal. I've skipped a few days, so I start writing:

Dear journal,
I know, it's been a while since I haven't written in here; many things have been going on in my life these past few days. I didn't have that much free time with all these ridiculous problems... Now is the only time that I have alone, and I choose to write.
Well, since we got taken, it's been pretty calm and it seems kind of normal. I know, I think it's weird to says that this is normal, but it really seems like it is. Getting kidnaped and then having powers is not normal, for sure. But I just want to call it that.
Anyway, Victoria left. Apparently, her parents "forced" her to go to this school. They hijacked the system. She actually had no powers, so she got rejected from the school. I feel so bad for her, that she had to leave. But how about Sherman, her brother? He's is SOOO annoying. He is constantly interrupting the teachers, especially Mr Maniti, the mental control teacher. I really hate him, it's kind of a coincidence that Sherman actually has powers, and that his sister got sent here even though she has none. It's super confusing, I'm not even kidding. Now, I'm friends again with Cecelia, but she seems like she is a bad mood... I really don't know why. I mean, she's not the one who has to miss their family! She doesn't even have one in the first place. I know that's kind of mean...I hope she never reads this....

I keep writing about daily life and routines here at the school, until I hear the bell. Wow, it's been a while since I started writing. Almost 30 minutes!
I rush to creatures class, but everyone is already there. They all stare at me when I walk in silently. I really like this class, it's fun. It's incredible how many more mythical creatures there are, most of them we didn't know I about! My favorite so far is the Phoenix. Even though everybody knows what that is...
Next is elements class, I'm super duper exited! I go over to Cecelia,
"Hey, how's life?" I say giggling.
"Well, fine I guess..you?"
"Good, just...I kind of miss my family."
"Oh" she looks sad now...oops
I ignore it and walk over to class with her, I really shouldn't of had done that, now she's even sadder!
During elements class, we did some really cool stuff. First, we started with some "blocking". Yes that's how they call it...
For example, the earth group has to create a wall made out of solid stone, that is basically impenetrable for our opponents. When you actually manage to pull that off, you can see a huge block of stone rising from the ground with an incredibly loud rumbling noise, and it almost made me deaf.
The only big problem with this is that we will have to use this ability instead of the "absorbing force field", which is not good. That means that we will be responsible for protecting ourselves, that can be quite dangerous....
After class, I run to my room, put my hair up into a messy bun and brush my teeth, guess why. Yeah, I forgot this morning. I was so happy, and I still am.
