Chapter Twenty-Eight Emily

Next thing you know, people are panicking and running in every direction. Cecelia and I don't, we show way more composure than everyone else, and find a place to rest. We are about to walk through the woods when we hear a megaphone say, with Ms Kimmel's distorted voice:
"Go find somewhere to live"
There was more to it, but she forgot to turn on the microphone earlier, so everyone starts panicking again. Everyone is freaking out- what are we going to do? What on earth are we doing here? I really hope the US army doesn't find us, well the portal is gone anyway, what can happen? Anything. Anything can happen to us now. Cecelia and I stare at each other, wordless, as a person walks up to us. I only notice the neon purple glasses. Shoot. It's Sherman. He says:
"Well,hello, I have a request"
"What is it?" I say with an annoyed voice, harshly.
"Since you are the closest thing to a friend to my sister Victoria...." He trails off, and for ever and ever, he talks about why his sister go sent back to the real world, and how her mind got erased, etc. But, that's not it, he also relates to Physics and math!!! Argh, we don't have time for this! We are in extreme danger right now!
He continues:
"Soooooo, and since you are almost the best of the class....." And he gives us a million reasons why we are so good in school. We start to ignore him, and slowly walk away. But I feel someone grab my shoulder, oh my god! He says:
"Can I stay with you?!!!!!!!"
Cecelia and I look at each other in surprise, while Sherman looks at us in despair. We walk about two feet away and have a little side conversation. Cecelia eventually turns around and says:
"Okay, fine, but only under one condition: you have to help us."
"Um, okay he replies.
And from now on, we have Sherman with us! Ugh.
"He is so annoying!!!!!" I want to scream at the top of my lungs, when he walks towards me and says:
"I thank you for your generosity."
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh
After all that, we decide to pick a spot to build a house and live. We finally decide on a perfect place that is in the middle of the woods. It's a small clearing, with a river running through the middle.
We all decide to participate in the process of building a house. First, we all plan out how it'll look like and how we will build it. It's complicated and hard. I almost give up at some point, when we fight about wether to use stones or wood for our main material. We decide to take a vote, but it ends up being like this: I want stone, Cecelia wants wood, and guess what? Sherman wants none:
"If I really had to choose, I would pick Chronium: because it's the hardest metal on earth"
What? What in the world is that?!
We sigh, and conclude that the best thing would be to make the house itself out of stones, for best security, and a roof hangover out of wood.
Cecelia starts clearing the area from the grass, and make it all bare earth under our feet.
I go out and get some stones and logs.
