14: Weird
{Ladybug}
I woke up with Adrian sleeping in the chair next to me.
Okay this habit of his has to stop.
I got out of bed and walked down to the kitchen to grab some food. My parents had the shop closed and were delivering some cakes to events, so I snuck into the kitchen and grabbed a croissant.
"Marinette?" A voice asked behind me, I turned around and saw that it was Plagg, Adrian's kawami, asked.
"Yeah..." I trailed off.
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, why?"
Plagg zoomed off without another word.
"Weird." I muttered under my breathe and walked up into my room.
"What do you mean 'she doesn't remember'?" I heard Adrian demand.
"Remember what?" I asked, opening the hatch and staring at Adrian.
"Uhh...." Adrian stared back, looking like a deer caught in headlights.
"Just tell her, Adrian,"
"Uhh...." Adrian repeated. "You better get in here and sit down."
14: Weirder
[Chat Noir]
Marinette sat down and listened quietly while I told her what happened yesterday.
"I don't understand, when did I start acting scared?" She asked.
I thought back. "When you flung the flour at me...yeah then,"
Marinette doubled over clutching her stomach.
"Mari!" Tikki and me yelled.
"I'm...okay..." She managed to get out.
"No, you're not!" I became frustrated. "Mari! Tell me the truth for once, how bad does it hurt?"
"I said I'm fine," She stood up, as if nothing had happened.
"Mari, clearly you aren't, you just doubled over in pain, if that is your okay, then I hate to imagine what your excruciating pain feels like," I growled, "Look, I'm going, goodnight Marinette," I walked out of her room.
"Hey Adrian, calm down," Plagg said, his expression worried.
"How can I calm down if she won't tell me the truth!"
"She probably thinks it'll be worse if you did find out,"
I ignored him.
"Plagg, claws out,"
I jumped onto a roof and started running and running to keep my mind off Marinette, but it always came back to her.
How can I trust her if she lies to me all the time?
Those thoughts came back into my head, no matter what I did. I sighed so running didn't help so maybe just letting all my frustration out will work. I jumped down into an alley and started kicking a brick wall.
Mari doesn't trust me.
My foot slammed into brick.
Mari isn't telling me the whole story.
I kicked again.
Does Mari think I'll just worry more if I know the truth?
My foot slammed into the wall. A tear slid down my face half because of the pain of kicking a brick wall and half because of the pain of someone I love lying to me.
A purple butterfly flew into my ring.
"I can give you what you want, if you bring Ladybug's Miraculous and your own to me." Hawkmoth's voice boomed inside of my head.
"No," I growled.
'Adrian you can fight it! Believe in your self. Marinette is only looking out for you!'
"You know you want to."
"No. I. Don't!" I growled louder.
"Yes you do and you don't have a choice," Hawkmoth snarled.
"I do have a- Yes Hawkmoth," I was cut off by myself.
The akuma got to me. Mari needs to know, I can't let her wonder in the dark until the akuma decides to make some carnage.
Mari...I'm sorry.
I numbly felt a tear slide down my face.
