23: Release
{Ladybug}
I closed my eyes as Chat Blanc punched my stomach. Granted, I had stood there with my arms open.
I grunted and stumbled back a few steps. Chat punched again. I hissed, he had hit me with his knuckles.
Adrian hurry up and realise that he needs to stop it.
I stood up again waiting for the next blow. And the next. And the one after that. After a while and so many punches I couldn't count when Alya bolted into the court yard. My eyes widened as Chat turned to the red haired girl who was breathing heavily. "Alya...run..." I told her, my voice no more than a horse whisper.
"Ladybug?" She asked and then turned to Chat, "C-Chat Blanc?" Her eyes widened as she realised what she was seeing. I closed my eyes and breathed in deeply. I stood up and immediately fell to my knees. The world was spinning.
"Run, Alya, run and don't look back."
"B-but..."
"Run." I said, pain clear in my voice.
Alya bolted dropping her phone on the ground in the process.
"Adrian, Chat Noir, Chat Blanc. I'm standing, go on punch me again."
Chat turned and bolted to me and his fist connected to the cement ground. He looked up and he saw me hanging upside down from my yo-yo.
I dropped down and ran to the opposite side of the court yard. Pain lanced through my body and I bit back a shout of pain. "Lucky Charm!" I yelled.
A small sack of flour landed in my hands and it all clicked.
The cat miraculous. The power of destruction. The ladybug miraculous. The power of creation. To hold both you are granted god like powers. Could seeing a vision to help out in the future be one of those powers even though I held the miraculous for a few seconds? But the flour and Chat Blanc couldn't be a coincidence. In this line of work it can't be. So how do I use the flour?nJust like before? I know exactly what to say and do.
"Adrian, come here," I beckoned him to come closer to me.
"Marinette do you really think that he could gain control over his own thoughts?" Chat asked. "Cataclysm,"
So Chat Blanc can use cataclysm more than once.
He raced up to me and swiped at my head. He missed my face but managed to touch the ribbons that hold my hair up. It fell in short waves down my face. I turned to him and pulled him close. "Chat Blanc, I wasn't talking to you. Adrian, do you know what never to do?"
Chat smiled and green filled his eyes. "Never mess with a baker in her natural habitat."
"Good," I pulled him closer and kissed him. I pulled away and while he was distracted by the kiss, I flung flour in the air and swung onto the higher level. By the time Chat had noticed I was gone, I had snuck around to the other side of the upper level. He looked up to where I was directly. Our eyes met.
Blue and Yellow orbs.
Guess what colour that makes.
Green.
I flung my yo-yo at him and he easily deflected it with his baton. I swung down to the ground and flung some more flour into the air.
How do I take it off him?
I followed the shadow of Chat through the flour, throwing more handfuls up at random intervals. I finally got close enough. I grabbed his hand and ripped the ring off it. He spun around and kicked me in the stomach, the ring went flying out of my hand.
No! I was so close! To getting Adrian back! To getting Plagg back!
A single tear ran down my masked face.
"I'm tired of playing around," He walked up to me and leaned over. Taking off one of my earrings. When the transformation faded I felt ten years older. "Fine, go ahead you win." I sighed. "All I wanted was my friend and crush to be happy again."
23: It doesn't win
[Chat Noir]
'All I wanted was my friend and crush to be happy again.'
Her words repeated themselves in my mind. And every time they were my hear cracked a little more.
'You win.'
That was directed at the akuma wasn't it? She was saying 'You win control of Adrian,'
Wasn't she?
No, the akuma doesn't win!
It doesn't.
It can't.
It won't.
