I was on my way home from my session, when my phone started to ring. “Hello.” I answered smiling from ear to ear.

“You alright babe?” his deep voice pounded into the phone. My heart skipped a beat. I swallowed hard.

“Yeah.” I replied slowly.

“Erm...do you mind if I come see you?” he sounded really vulnerable and shy.

“Yeah, come. Where are you?” I replied.

“I'm at that corner shop near your house. I’ll be there in a bit.”

“Okay, bye.”

“Bye babes.” And he locked off. I took out my key and entered my house. I went to the kitchen to make myself something to eat. Chicken salad sandwich. As soon as I was getting ready to take a bite the door bell rang. I rolled my eyes and went to answer the door.

“Hello.” I said to him, letting him inside. I shut the door behind him and we walked to the kitchen. He smiled at me and brought me into a hug. “Are you okay?” I asked sensing something was wrong. He nodded.

“Yeah I’ll be fine.” He gave me a kiss and hugged me tighter. “I bought you something.” He said stroking my hair.

“Really?” he nodded. “What did you get me?” I was a bit surprised that he’d gotten me something. He pulled away from the hug and held up a black bag in my face. I took the bag from him and looked inside. There were two things, both things wrapped up. I took out the biggest one and unwrapped it. It was a picture of us in the park. He had put it in a frame that said memories at the bottom. I smiled.

“Do you like it?” I nodded. “Good. Open the other one.” I opened the other present and it was a long black box. Inside was a bracelet that said ‘JessieR’. I frowned.

“What’s this?” He laughed.

“You don't have to wear it now. But just know that one day your surname will be Robinson. Then you will wear it.” I screwed him.

“Who says that I’ll marry you, or even be your girlfriend?” He raised his eyebrows.

“Wanna bet?” he took the bracelet from my hands and turned it over. “Rey’s Wife.” He read with a big smile. I rolled my eyes.

“If you say so Reyes.”

“I know so baby girl.” I shot him a look. “Sorry, I mean Jessie. I forgot that you don't like to be called that.” I grunted and carried on eating my sandwich. He stared at me as I done so.

“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” He chuckled.

“Can I have some?” I gave him the other half of my sandwich and watched as he finished it in three bites. I still had a little bit left in my hands. “You gonna eat that?” I stared at him some more before I gave him the rest. Greedy Bastard!

“I'm cold.” I mumbled, going to turn on the heating.

“Come lemme warm you up.” He said following behind me, I could hear the smile in his voice. I kissed my teeth and went upstairs after turning the heating on. As soon as I got in my room, I took off my clothes and put on my Jami’s. I got into my bed and closed my eyes. The light turned off and I felt warmth behind me. He pulled me closer to him. “What's wrong Jess?”

“I think I'm coming down with something. My body hurts and I feel like I want to be sick.” I sniffed.

“I think you're getting the flu, babes.” He rubbed my stomach.

“You should go before you catch something.” I yawned.

“I don't mind. Just go to sleep.” He whispered.
