On your first day of college you like to make an impression; a good one. So as I walked through the building with Justin, I wondered to myself why some of these people were dressed like we were at a strip club. There was weaves everywhere. Some good, alot of them bad. We took a seat in the common room, looking around at everyone. “Wow. I have to be here for two years.” I sighed leaning my head over on Justin’s shoulder. He flung his arm around my shoulder.

“Yeah, I know babes. But we’ll have each other no matter what yeah.” I nodded with a small smile. “No I'm being serious. We aint gonna let no bitch come between us.”

“Okay Justin.” He smiled satisfied. “I wish Red was here.” Justin scoffed.

“Am I not good enough for you?” He held his hand to his chest.

“Yeah, but it’s not the same.” He sighed.

“Yeah, I know what you mean, I wish Nate was here.”

“I couldn’t bare having the two of you with me everyday. I think I’d end up killing myself.”

“Umm, that's rude. I’m gonna tell him you said that.” I rolled my eyes. “And don't roll your eyes.” He checked the time on his watch. “It’s time to go to our lessons.” He stood up and pulled me along with him. “I’ll walk to you to yours.”

“No you don't have to.”

“No, I wanna see what sexy actress’ are in your class.” I rolled my eyes and walked off as he followed behind me.

“She’s spicy.” He pointed at a girl through the door.

“Go away Justin. See you at break.” I opened the door and took a seat with the rest of the class. I had met some of them before.

“Oh hi Jessie.” A small girl called Natasha waved at me. I smiled back in return.

“Hi!” I replied back with the same amount of enthusiasm. “Where’s the teacher?” She shrugged.

“She came in, looked at the class and then left again.” So I already knew that I wasn't going to get on with teacher. “Look at the boy. He is so nice.” I looked over to where she was looking. To be fair he was nice, just wasn't my type.

“Yeah he is nice.” I said half-heartedly.

She looked at me knowingly. “You don't like mix race boys do you?” I laughed.

“I think some of them are nice, but I couldn’t see myself with one.” She nodded.

“I feel the same way about white boys.” She looked around some more before looking back at me. “So that boy that you was with, is he your boyfriend?”

“Oh Justin, no. Were just friends.” I smile politely.

“Oh well, I think you two suit.” If only she knew, I thought to myself. Just then the teacher stepped into the classroom.

“Morning everyone.” Some people replied, others just looked at her. “Sorry for the delay, we had to sort out a few things.” She took a seat and told everyone to make a circle. “Welcome to Performing Arts, ladies and gents.” She smiled looking around at all of us. “Well you’re a lively bunch, aren’t you?” Some laughed. “Okay so today, were just gonna get to know each other a bit, the other teachers from the department will come in and introduce themselves also.” She put papers down on the floor. “Right, were just gonna go round the circle and say our names. My name is Toni.” She looked at the person beside her.

“John.”

“Nicole.” After we done that exercise, we played a few games, to help us get to know one another. Before we knew it, it was time to go. I made my way back to the common room hoping that I would find Justin there. He was sat in the corner talking to some girls. He spotted me and called me over.
