Chapter 23

CLEO'S POV

I walk to the dungeon. These dungeon is silent because all of the prisoners in here are all females. Males and females has a separated dungeons  for the woman's safety purposes. It will be difficult for them to be with males when they heat arrives. Heat is a wolf version of menstruation, It's the time when we get to be extremely horny and if you where unlucky, any males could come to claim you without your consent. Well, It might have your consent but It might probably against your original will since your thoughts are clouded with lust.

There's not much prisoner in here. Maybe because females don't really used into violence. Males are the one who always do the fighting for woman. I reach the third cell where Diva the bitch resides. I should really stop myself calling her bitch specially if all the things that the boy has said is true. She was laying in the bed. Her back facing the cell. I unlock the cell then after I step inside of her room.

She sit when she felt my presence.

"What do you want?"

She snap at me angrily. I wanted to talk to her nicely but she's making it hard for me to do so.

"If I tell you I want your head would you give it me?"

I said calmly. Making my voice a bit playful. She growled at me in response.

"See, you won't give it to me so what's the point of asking?"

I said again as I lean in the right side of the wall. She didn't reply to my statement. She just sit there and stare at the cell door.

"If you plan on running and escaping me, I would advice for you to change your plan because little Lexus is in Oliver's office right now."

I said to her like as if what I'am saying is no big deal. Her head jerk up quickly to me.

"Don't you dare hurt him!"

She growled at me again. Wolves and their growling ability. tsk.tsk. It's starting to irritate me now.

"I don't hurt children Diva, I don't know Oliver though. Isn't it annoying? Other people using your family AGAIN to get what they want from you."

I said while playing to the key I'am holding. I act like they key is much more interesting to look at than Diva the bitch's face.

"What are you talking about?"

She asked. Refusing to look at me again. 

"What is your mates name Diva?"

I asked. Playfulness is gone and now I'am in my serious mode with a don't mess with me look. She didn't answer me.

"I'am asking you Dear."

I said again, but this time using more force. She cringe in the authority in my voice. I waited for her reply. She's fighting my dominance over her wolf. Sweat is starting to form in her forehead.

"I-I don't know."

She said in almost a whisper.

"Bullsh*t! He's your mate and you don't know?"

I'm starting to loose my patience in here. 

"He didn't tell me. He always refuse to tell me. If I asked again he'll hurt me."

She said while her voice is trembling. I can tell that she'll cry any minute. I let out a deep breath. I'am starting to be hard in here. I promise little Lexus not to hurt her but I felt like if I talk to her this way I might end up hurting her. I should at least give her the benefit of the doubt.

"Why didn't you asked for help when he's hurting you?"

I asked. I was surprise to see my voice in a soft tone. Almost like a friendly with a motherly tone. She was also surprise by the sudden change in my tone. she didn't reply.

"I know that he will threaten you to hurt your family but why didn't you at least talk to your king and try to ask for protection? What did you take us for? Do you think were just titles? God! Diva. Don't tell me you love him because if you do I will smack your head in this wall in this instant."

I rank at her. Now I'am fully standing in my feet and my hands are claps in my waist. I stand like a mother giving her child a lesson. Diva started crying.

"I'm sorry."

She said in the middle of sobbing. I brush my hair off my face. I gave her a minute to calm herself. When she started to composed herself again. It takes a minute for her to compose herself again.

" What does your mate looks like?"

She dried her face with her clothes that is now dirty with all the blood and beating she undergo yesterday.

"He's tall, He has a black hair and a blue eyes- I can't describe him clearly because I never get to see him closely. When he comes near me it's either I got my eyes shut in fear of him or when my consciousness started to fade."

Diva said to me. Whomever her mate is, he's surely smart to cover himself even in front of his mate. 

"Where done here. Your free to go. When you leave this place get your things because you will be moving in the palace. So that Alexander and the guys can look for you and your family."

After I said that I turned my back to her but then before I could even step, I heard her dropping to her knees.

"Thank you, My Queen."

I smiled but I didn't bother to show it to her. I get out of the dungeon and I quickly talk to Alexander to arrange a place for Diva and her family. I also told him to give them body guards cause Diva's mate might come back looking for her and I'am sure as hell that when he found where Diva is he will kill her mate or not. 

After that she went to Oliver's office and she found him sitting on his chair. He look at her like he's expecting her to show up any minute.

" How did it go?"

Oliver asked. I walk toward him. when I reach him I sat in his lap.

"Fine. Diva the bitch will be staying here in the palace for a while. Until we get her mate caught."

Oliver just noodled.

"I really think I should stop calling her Diva the bitch but, I kind of like how it sound so I'm planning on not quitting on that name."

I wrap my arms around Oliver's neck.

"Its fine you can do what you want."

He said as he started kissing my neck.

"I believe it is my turn now, My Queen."

He whispered against my skin. I'am starting to feel shiver against his touch and I can also feel heat starting to rise from my core. 

"And I believe that if we don't stop this you might loose control."

I said pushing him away from my body. He didn't refuse because he also knew that, that was the best thing to do.

"When are we going to the Blood Moon pack?"

I asked changing the topic.

"As soon as you are ready to leave."

He said like I'am his main priority.

"We can leave tomorrow, when I saw that Diva and her family is safe in here."

I said. I actually wanted to end this quest so that I can just stay beside Oliver the entire day and I can finally return to my garden as well.

"Then tomorrow as it is."

Oliver said hugging me. I don't know why but it felt like Oliver and I didn't always have time for each other. I'am always with him but I still miss him. I can't even remember when was the last time we get to have our own private time with no kingdom, memories and other things to worry about. I Let out a deep breath. I wanted all of this to end.
