Chapter 5

CLEO'S POV

I stared at the gem, and I suddenly had the urge to come closer to it and the next thing I know, I am really coming closer to the gem. I heard when Alpha Denver said that anyone who gets near to it get burned but I just can't seem to control myself. My subconscious mind was yelling at me to stop and come back to where Oliver is, but my soul feels like it is the right place to go. I reach for the gem. The moment the gem touches my skin, a blinding light exploded, and images came flashing back to me.

"Don't worry princess. When you grew up, you will find a loving mate and have a loving family like ours."

My father said to me happily and at the kitchen my mom emerges with a bowl of soup in her hands. I have been sick for days, common sick that the kids got when they are growing up. I reach for the soup that my mom gave me and sips to it gently since it was hot.

"Get better soon, so that we can play and train again, okay?"

My father said to me. He stood up and walked to the door leaving me alone in my room to get some rest. I have always been a father's girl. My father is the Alpha of Silver moon pack. It is one of the 6 biggest packs in the Southern territory and being the daughter of an Alpha, I was trained to be strong and fierce. Since I AM the ONLY daughter, I am also spoiled. That's what happened if you have an older brother and a father who joined forces to make you happy.

After a few days I got better, and I was good to go. I immediately run out of the house to meet with Jasper. Jasper is my best friend since diapers. We learned to walk together, eat together, swim together and so many other things. My mind was also fixed that he will be my mate someday and I told myself that if that day comes, I will be more than happy to take his mark.

I opened my eyes and for the third time since I remember I woke up again to the same room I woke up earlier with Oliver sitting by my side.

"You're awake. Are you alright? How do you feel?"

Why do I always get to be bombarded with so many questions first thing when I woke up? I sit and lean to the bed's headboard while Oliver is still looking at me waiting for answers.

"I'm fine. What happened?"

I asked him, fixing myself in the process.

"You touched the gem, but you didn't get burn."

He said.

"Then?"

I asked again, closing my eyes. I wanted to sleep more but I'm always sleeping so I needed to fight this urge right now.

"Then a huge light exploded. When the light dissipated, we found you lying on the ground and the gem is gone."

He explained. Then memories came crashing to me. My childhood memories, I am indeed Cleo. Cleo Anderson. The princess and daughter of Cesar Anderson, Alpha of Silver moon pack. I have a brother who is named Cesar Anderson Jr. and a loving mother named Leonila Anderson. I also have a best friend slash childhood crush and probably love who is named Jasper. Wow, I am indeed Cleo. No joke or anything and I'm also a fucking werewolf. Damn! I was hoping that I'm a mermaid. 

"Cleo, are you alright?"

 Oliver asked me again. Worried is evident on his face. I just nodded. I don't really have something to say to him.

"What does really happen out there? You need to tell me everything so I can help you."

He said again. I am quite confused as to why should I trust him but then I thought I have no other option because I'm not in my own territory and he is the best way out of this mess and back to my old pack. Wait, My own pack? It feels so weird talking like I'm one of them!

"I regain my childhood memory."

I simply said. A frown made a way to his face.

"Great! You remember first that Jasper before me."

He stated. If I didn't know any better, I would've thought that he is jealous but who is he to be jealous? and Who is he to know about Jasper? I didn't make a comment because I honestly don't know what to say. I gain my first memory or my childhood memory, but I still have so many questions. The memory that has returned to me happened probably when I was baby up to 10 years old.

"Okay, you must be so confused by now. "

Oliver said. I gave him a look that says, No-need-to-state-the-obvious-here-you-know.

"Medea, the oldest wolf seeks my audience earlier. She said that you lost your wolf."

Shock runs through my veins! I lost my wolf. I don't even remember that I gained my wolf but hearing the news of losing it, is not really good news at all. Every wolf is excited to turn 18 so that they can shift. When the first shifting happens that is also the day that we gain our own wolf. That makes us officially member of the pack. 

"H-How? What-"

"Let me finish first."

Oliver interrupted me before I can even finish my question, so much for the word finish (insert sarcasm here).

"Medea, as I was saying says that you lose your wolf. That makes you a full human now; however, there is a way to regain your wolf and your memories and that is through finding the gems that scattered to the 6 biggest packs in the Southern Territory. The first gem is the gem that you touched earlier."

"So, you mean we need to go to the 6 biggest pack to regain my memories and my wolf?"

He noodled to me. What does really happen to me? How did I lose my wolf and my memory? I honestly can't understand everything. It doesn't make sense. And why does the Alpha take note KING will help me? ow, my head is spinning. I have too much information in one day, yet that information is still incomplete.

"I think I have enough for today, let's talk tomorrow."

I said and then I let myself sink deeper into the sheets. 

"If that is what you wish."

He said and instead of going out he goes to the other side of the bed.

"Wait. Where are you going?"

I asked him. He looks at me with confusion in his face and after a minute he realize what do I mean.

"Ow, Sorry I forgot. I'll leave."

He said. Then he left the room. Weird enough the comfort that the room offered earlier seems to vanish when King Oliver left.
