Chapter 27

CLEO'S MEMORY

I struggle to get my eyes open. A painful sensation can be felt in the right side of my shoulder.

"Why are you doing this to me Jasper? I'am your mate."

I heard the witch's voice. I wanted to open my eyes to see if the one talking is really the witch but I can't do it.

"I love Cleo, Mina."

Jasper said with a bored tone.

"How about me?"

Jasper didn't response.

"After all that I have done for you. I made you an Alpha of those rogue's who killed Cleo's family. I enchant the bitch from the king's pack s that she can think you where her mate. Now, I'am helping you to take care of her. I have enough Jasper."

"What you'll reject me?"

Jasper said in a sarcastic tone.

"You know I can't do that. Reject me instead."

Mina the witch said in a low tone. I heard Jasper chuckled.

"I will never reject you Mina. Not until Cleo become mine."

Mina didn't response.

"I want you to erase all of her memory and get rid of her wolf also. If I can't have her as a wolf, I will have her as a human."

After Jasper said that, Foot steps can be hear. I assume that Jasper already leave Mina. I tried to open my eyes again and this time I manage to get them open. I wanted to cry. Where was my mate when I needed him? I have no family anymore and that just leave Oliver to be the single person I can rely on. I can't help it anymore as tears flow silently into my cheeks. I heard a car being pull out of the garage. After that the door to my room opened. Mina came to my side of bed.

"He already left. He won't think you will run away because you are injured but you have no choice, It's either you leave now or stay here forever."

Mina said quickly. She helped me get to my feet. My wound still hurts but I can't ignore the opportunity that's presenting itself to me to escape in this hell. She lead me to the back door where forest can be located.

"Shift, Cleo. You'll be faster to heal and to travel if you're in wolf."

"Thank you."

I barely able to leave those word from my mouth because I was so weak but now adrenaline is pushing all my blood to go on and escape. Mina just noodled at me. I shift into my wolf and then she handed me a bag.

"That contains some food, and medicine to help you in your journey. Now go."

She said pushing me away from the house. I just gave her one last glance before I made my way to the forest. Firstly I run because I'am afraid that Jasper might think to come early and found that I'am no longer in the house. But then, exhaustion and pain make it's harder for me to run in a long period of time. Eventually I got tired and my run turn into walk until I can't be able to walk anymore. I badly want to rest. I can't move my feet anymore It collided to the ground before I could even brace myself. Then my whole body give in to the pain and to the darkness. The next thing I knew darkness is all over the place.

I woke up inside the room. I quickly scan the room to make sure that I'am not in the same room Jasper lock me for almost a year now. I relax when I noticed that the room are painted with red and yellow. I almost thought that I'am in the pack house or the palace of the king again because of the paint but when I smelled my surrounding I immediately realize that I'am not in the palace. I'am in some pack. The door opened and a woman enter.

"My lady, I'am glad that you are okay."

 The woman said, curtsying in the process. I calmed because she can recognize me, then I can go back to the palace once again.

"My name is Carol I'am the Luna of this small pack."

She said offering a hand to me. I accepted her hands. I also gave her a small smile.

"How are you feeling?"

She asked.

"My whole body ache."

I said in a raspy tone. The Luna came to the bed side table and she poured me some water. I gladly accepted the water.

"We found you unconscious to the ground near our border, you where bleeding." 

I put the glass to the table again. Even a slight movement can cause pain in my body.

"thank you."

I said with all the sincerity I can muster.

"The pleasure is ours, my lady. We already call the palace to tell them that you are here. The king is searching for you. I also heard that he become more hard worker he never rest."

Happiness surge to me and to my wolf but then, I can't really believe in every words people around me are saying. I just gave her a grateful smile because I honestly don't know what to say to her.

"I'll leave you here now to rest, while we where waiting for the king to arrive."

I just noodled as a response. She curtsy to me again before she leave the room. I slowly lay in the bed once again, I can't wait to be back again. I know Oliver did something I didn't like but being with Oliver is much more better than being with Jasper. Jasper who where supposed to be my child hood friend. Jasper who where supposed to be loyal to the pack. Jasper who suppose to love her mate but no, Jasper didn't do everything he should have done. 

He a monster. He killed my family. I can't help but cry once again I remembered everything. It still seems like a dream but it's not. If he didn't do that I might still have my family. I might still feel something towards him but no. He already did the thing he should have not done. The door to my room opened. I though it was Luna Carol again but when I turn to see who is it, There he stands, the most hateful person in the world.

"Jasper."

"You really think you can escape me don't you?"

He walk towards me and I also move to the other side of bed to stay away from him.

"Just leave me alone please."

"No, not a chance Cleo, You are mine."

He said leaping to me but I quickly run towards the door but then again I feel something that dig into my flesh, Then the lost of energy feeling came back.

"You are not going anywhere Cleo."

I struggle to hold to the door but I have no force. I can instantly feel my body colliding to the floor but not before Jasper catch me.

"We were going home. Love."
