Today I introduced my new girlfriend of 3 months to my family. And I don't think they like her that much.
"So, what do you think of Jessica? (A/N sorry if your name is Jessica, it's random. You can read it as another name.) Do you like her?" I asked my family members as I sat down on the couch next to them.
"I prefer Y/N." My younger sister, Waliyha, said.
"Yeah, me too." My older sister Doniya agreed.
"Zayn?" My mum called me.
"Yeah?" I said as she shared a worried look with Safaa.
"Don't you think that Jessica is a little too rude?" My mother said.
"Okay, Jessica might not be the most polite person I have ever dated but she's not that rude." I said defending my girlfriend.
"Zayn. Face it, she's not good for you." Safaa said, putting her hand on my shoulder.
"But I love her." I said.
"Y/N is better for you, love." My mother told me.
"Trust us Zayn, she's not good for you." Waliyha told me.
"Exactly. You should decently date Y/N." Doniya said.
"Oh yeah? Why?" I asked her.
"For a lot of reasons." She answered.
"Like? What does Y/N has that Jessica doesn't?"
"Y/N is polite and kind."
"Y/N is prettier."
"Jessica doesn't deserve you, Y/N does."
I just got really mad that my own family are hating on my girlfriend and instead want me to date my best friend, so I stormed out of the house.
