      You'll be sixteen by the time this letter have been given to you, so happy birthday son! :) But right now, your 1 year old sleeping in your little crib as I'm writing this.

      Your mum, Y/N probably rarely talked about me or mentioned my name; hi, I'm Zayn. Your father.

     I know this is a shock for you to read a letter from someone you don't remember and it's kind of freaky reading this, trust me it's as freaky to you as to me. But pleads continue reading.

     In case your wondering why'd you never met me, who am I kidding? Of course you are, but that's the reason why I'm writing this letter; to explain myself.

   Your mum gave birth to you when I was 17 and she was only 16, so it was pretty hard. When you were first born I didn't know what to do. I have come to a point that I am not mature, old or fit enough to be a father.

    I had a bright future ahead of me, I wanted to live my dream, do what I love to do, and live the life that I wanted to live. So I had no choice but to leave your mother and you. It was as hard for me as it was hard for your mother, but I know her. She's a very strong woman and I know she continued her life as the mother she should be. Hope she's doing fine. :)

    I'm sorry for doing what I have done, I know this doesn't make me a better father but I had to. I wasn't good enough, and both your mum and I knew it.

     And if you're wondering how I look like, there are some pictures of me when I was 17 in the envelop. Handsome lad aren't I? ;)

   Also I wanted you to know that you got your hair, eyes and height from me. I'm sure by now you look even better than when you were 1 year old.

   Anyways I'm pretty much done with this letter and so are you. Just know that I love and I'll continue to love you and your mother forever.
