"Today is the first day of hand to hand combat training. For two hours we will be testing your strength, fighting skills, and stamina. We will pair you with someone as close to your size as we can. The fight will look at the technique you use as well as your strength and who comes out victorious." Said the brother Rhage. 'The point of the fight is to hit the buzzer that will be strapped on each fighter above the heart. It will go off marking the kill. Whatever you do, try not to kill anyone. I don't want to have to make that phone call." He looked down at his list. "First fighters will be... Hunter and Phear."
Hunter smiled, He wanted to show his strength to the brothers. He also wanted to show his strength to Phear. Winning this fight would be amazing and he knew it. He let the brother strap the buzzer onto him and he moved into the ring. Phear hunched over as did he. The brother motioned for the fight to begin and he dodged Phear as he charged him. An elbow to the back sent Phear stumbling to the ground. A kick to the ribs flipped him over. Hunter dropped on top of him and started trying to hit the buzzer. Phear fought back. Meeting each blow with his own. Knocking Hunter off of him only to be on top of him trying the same thing. Hunter tried to hold him off and flipped them over. This time they got to their feet and the fight continued. Phear charged and Hunter dodged. A kick to the ribs knocked him to his knees and Hunter took the chance for a kick to the chest knocked him over. A fist to the buzzer called the fight.
"Well done you too. That was a good fight." Said the brother as he removed their buzzers. " Hunter you won that fight."

Phear scowled at Hunter. That should have been his fight. He should have won. His father and uncles made sure he knew how to fight. There shouldn't have been anything to the fight. He should have won. He was angry because a civilian beat him. A civilian who hadn't had any kind of training at all beat him. His father wouldn't be happy. He sat on the sidelines watching the rest of the trainees in their class take turns fighting. He knew Hunter was watching him. He knew the man wanted him. He chose to ignore him because he was angry.
"Now it's time to test strength. Hunter, your up first." Rhage called over to him.
He watched Hunter head over to the weight lifting area of the gym. As much as he hated to admit it, He wanted to see Hunter in action. Hunter went to the punching bag. The one that told you how much strength was behind a punch. He then went to the bench and began lifting. More and more weight was added and he had to admit he was shocked. No normal civilian could bench as much as he had. Hell, He doubted that he could. Which didn't set well with him. His name was called and he took his turn. His punches matched with Hunter. The bench was different. He was determined to beat him. Rhage added more and more weight until he couldn't press it.
"Three fifteen." Rhage said, "That means you are in second place behind Hunter."
He growled and stormed back to his seat in the back of the room. He was once again beaten by a civilian. What in the world was happening? He was strong. He should have beaten Hunter in the weights. The man hadn't trained period. Something was off. He watched as Hercules took his shirt off and the star shaped scar on his chest told him why.

Hunter was born a brother. Meaning he belonged to a brother. But just who was his father? Phear would find out.
