Phear heard the sounds of multiple footsteps coming up the stairs. It worried him. He stood up and opened the door to his room. It was his father and Vishous. It didn't look good. Behind them was a chosen. It could only mean one thing. Hunter needed to feed. But how hadn't he known. It worried him because as Hunters mate it was his job to make sure he was fed.
But you didn't want him. You don't know if you want him.
That voice was right. He hadn't made up his mind until he saw Hunter the way he was in that room. He didn't like how Hunter looked exhausted and hurt. It pained him to think about it. It pained him because there was something else and he didn't know what it was. He was scared but it was something he had to figure out on his own. He quietly followed them to Hunters room.
" Hunter please."
"I can't. I... I just can't."
"If you dont you will die."
"No."
That was his time to go in. "Hunter please. If you want to me by mate you would feed. I know its hard but I'm here." He said as he walked closer to him.
" But... But you don't want me." Hunter stammered.
"Not true. Seeing you the way I did a little while ago made me realize what I've done. I can't bare to see you hurting. I can't see you like that." Phear told him, "I'm right here. I am not leaving."
Hunter sighed and took the wrist of the chosen. He held tightly onto Phears hand and didn't let go. When Hunter pulled back he grabbed onto Phear and began sob. It tore at his heart to see Hunter like that. He stroked his hair and waited until the sobs quieted down. He hadn't realized that they were alone but it didn't matter. He had Hunter. It was time to care for his male.

Hunter laid in Phears lap. He had finally stopped crying. He felt dirty, tired, and most of all like shit. He wanted to shower but he didn't want to leave Phear. He wanted to be clean. Wanted to wash the females scent off his skin. Off his clothes. Out of his nose. But he didn't have energy to move. He wanted to remain like they were.
"Hunter?" Phear asked, "What aren't you telling me?"
"About what?" He managed to murmur.
"Well the air was electrified when you had the band off. What aren't you telling me?"
"I'm not safe. I'll hurt you. I've hurt my father. I'm dangerous." He said as he sat up. "There's more to me than you see. This power inside me calls to be released. My father is going to train me. He wants to do a field test and other things to see if I can really help our kind."
"What do you mean field test? Like with lessers?"
"I assume. This is the reason I was pulled from training."
"What ppwer?"
Hunter shook his head and stood up. He wasn't going to tell him. He didn't want to loose him. Now that Phear had showed he wanted him, he didn't want to make him doubt that. He couldn't risk it. He shook his head again and walked to the bathroom. He locked the door and got in the shower. He listened to Phear pacing. He listed hoping he would leave. Not that he didn't want him there.
He finished his shower and put on the leathers his father had left for him. He walked into his room and put his boots on.
"Where are you going?" Phear asked him.
"To see when he wants to begin my training." Hunter said feeling a little hum in his body.
"Talk to me." Phear demanded coming closer.
"Please stay away." Hunter begged him.
The hum got stronger and stronger. He tried to ignore it and make his way to the door but Phear was in his way. He heard voices in the hall. The door opened.
"Step back Phear. For your safety step back." He heard his father say.
"Tell me what's going on? He won't talk to me." Phear said angrily.
"He's dangerous. Inside his body is this electricity and when he gets worked up it builds and needs release. If you were to touch him you'd be fried." His father said, "Now back up."
Hunter closed his eyes and tried to think of anything else but Phear and the hum inside his body. He tried to calm the hum by breathing slow but it wasn't calming.
"Keep your eyes closed." He heard the voice of a familiar accent. " Tell yourself to remain calm. Think calming thoughts. Babies, puppies, happiness, flowers. Anything. Keep breathing deep. Soon the sensation will fade and you will be calm."
He did as he was instructed and was shocked that the hum went away. He opened his eyes and saw Rhage. The one from the center.
"How... How did you know..." He asked.
"I've had to deal with something similar. Only I was a dragon. I'll help teach you to keep calm." Rhage said, " You good now?"
"Yeah." Hunter nodded to him.
"Good. I didn't want to have to clear the room. What worked you up?"
His gaze went to Phear and rhage chuckled.
"Should have known." He turned to Phear, "Do not do what you just did again. There's no guarantee that I or anyone will be around to talk him down."
