Hunter walked the short distance into the training center. He had decided to return solely for training. He wanted to be able to go through the proper training. His father and the king agreed. They both thought it as a good idea for him. So he returned right after dusk and in time for class. When he entered his dorm he saw a bare chested Phear standing before him. He watched as Phears eyes lit up. A smile spread across his face as he moved toward his closet to change. He felt Phears eyes on him. His body went warm.
Mine.
He was startled. What the hell was that? It scared him. He changed and rushed out to the gym where he would have to transition back into class. One night away could be critical for his training. He had arranged for personal training time with his father. Rhage was waiting as he entered the room. He caught his quick smile before taking position and waiting for class to start.
"Today's training is different. We will be testing stamina. Running, weight training, cardio, even some intense sparring with some of the brothers. Tonight is your chance to stand out to them. First impressions always mean the most." He instructed them, "I will assign you numbers that's the station and rotation number you are on. Ten minutes on each station should be well enough."
Hunter hoped this endurance test would help calm his overheated body.Phear was across the room from Hunter. He could see him running on the treadmill with no issue. He could see the sweat beading on his body and his body grew warm. When the whistle blew he stopped doing crunches and moved onto the treadmill. He had a perfect view of Hunter. Hunter was going to spar with Rhage. He was nervous. He watched as the brother initiated the fight and as he ran and ran he felt his body growing tense with wanting to protect Hunter. He could smell a dark smell of musk and it confused him. Until he realized it was him. The whistle blew again with Hunter coming out on top of the spar and class was over. He rushed into their form and straight for the shower.
" Hunter." He heard his uncle say, "Your father talked to me. I think its great you decided to come back to us. Even if not just for the training."
"Thanks. It was hard. In the end I just couldn't stay away."
Couldn't stay away? From what? He hated that he had evesdropped but he couldn't help it. Where Hunter was concerned he wanted to know everything. Every thought in his mind. Every inch of his body. Every fiber of his being. He wanted it all. But that was being selfish, He did just find his father. Phear shook his head and finished his shower. He got out and dressed in his lounge pants his mother had brought from home. When he entered the room Hunter was freshly showered and lounging on his bed wearing shorts and a tank top.
"I am glad you came back." Phear said softly.
" Yeah, seemed like the right decision at the time." Hunter replied softly.
"What made up your mind?"
"The king, the physical aspect of training, and a few more things."
"Me?"
"Partly."
Phear didn't know what to say. So Hunter had chosen to come back for him. Even if it was part of the reason. He could live with that.
"Do... Do you ever think about the future?" Hunter asked him suddenly.
" Yeah." He replied, "Why?"
"I do too. I picture it with you. Happily mated and possibly adopting a child."
Phear just gasped at him, "Children? You are thinking about children?"
He was upset. They weren't romantic, even if they were mates. They hadn't even made love. The thought made him shutter. He wanted Hunter there but now his mind was playing with him. Could he live happily if he was gay?**********
Here's another chapter I cooked up for you. Hope this one is as good as the rest.As always what did you think? .
