He skipped training. He had called and called Hunter with no answer. He tested constantly and avoided the mess hall. He was worried. Why hadn't he heard anything yet? Why hadn't Hunter answered his texts or calls? He wanted to go to him but knew he couldn't. The training center made it so that no one could dematerialize from inside. He wanted desperately to go see Hunter. He wanted to know if he was alright. He wanted out. Without Hunter he didn't want to train.
He called Hunter again. It rang and rang. Finally someone picked up.
"Hello?" came Hunters rough pained voice.
"Oh thank god. Are you alright? I heard you were ill." He said in a rush.
"As good as I can be." Hunter replied, "What do you want?"
"To explain. Please come back here." he begged him.
There was a pause, "It's not safe. I'm not safe. I can't come back. Ever."
"Whoever said that is lying. Your perfectly fine to come back. If you dont come back I'm coming to you."
"You don't get it. I'm dangerous. I could kill you. You can't come here. You can't come to me. I... I gotta go."

Hunter felt the tears run down his face. It killed him to tell Phear not to come to him. He didn't trust himself. He didn't want to hurt him like he had his father. Hell no one wanted to be near him. No one visited him. Proving he was a big danger to them. It was like he couldn't believe what the Scribe Virgin had said. His power would help against the Lessers. But how could he control it? He was scared of it. He felt the changing in his body again. An electrical current ran through his body. He needed to calm down. He needed to stay calm. The more he felt the change, the more scared he became. His father hadn't come to see him since their arrival. Phear didn't know what was happening. He had no one. He couldn't touch anything right then. The power was too strong. What was happening? The door opened and a tall bulky man who resembled Phear walked in.
"I am Rhevenge. I am an sympath. I feel others feelings, emotions. I have reason to believe you could be one too. I brought this." He held up a metal ring, "We use these to keep yourself in constant pain to avoid the feelings of others. I would like to apply this to you."
"I... You... You can't I'm dangerous." He replied. " No one can touch me when I'm like this."
"I have protection. Gloves. Made by your father. I'm protected. Where would you like it applied?"
"Arm."
He stiffened waiting for the shock to attack the man. He felt the band touch his arm. He felt the sharp bite of pain in his arm and slowly the change disapated. He was shocked. The man removed the gloves and smiled.
"It's working isn't it?" He asked Hunter.
"I... I think so. I don't feel the hum." Hunter replied in shock.
"That's what I thought. I'll let the others know that it's working. You need to feed I'll have Phury send for a chosen."
"Chosen? The Scribe Virgins women? I... I don't know if I should."
"Why not?"
"I... I'm... I'm gay."
"I see. Well do you have a mate? I could have him sent for. Or you could feed alone."
"I... He... He doesn't want me."
"Your kidding. If he's your true mate nothing would keep him from you. Who is this male?"
"Phear."
The look on the man's face said it all. He hadn't had a clue about Phear being his mate. But by the man's reaction he knew that he had done something wrong. Phear was his son.
"I... I need to leave." Rhevenge said before walking out.
