That One Night (Vampire Knight FanFic)

Four ~ Red Roses

I walk the crowded corridor of the school on my own. I reply the memory of last night in my head. There is no way Akira likes me, he must think I'm a burden! I should really keep my distance.

"Oh Ayane!" Akira calls from behind me.

I carry on walking as fast as I can. Making my way into the classroom I sit at the back this time and in the corner, a girl was already sat beside me so Akira can't reach me. Akira sits in front of me. Damn it!

"Hey Ayane" Akira turns around to face me. I look out of the window quickly and I see the tree me and Aido meet at. I won't meet him tonight, maybe I won't meet him tomorrow or ever again.

"Ayane why are you ignoring me?" Akira leans closer to me, just when I was about to explode the fire alarm goes off.

"Everyone please make your wait out of the classroom in a calm matter!" Yuki tells us all as we leave the classroom.

I was saved by the bell. I make my way through the crowd and make sure I loose myself inside so Akira can't reach me. But of course he can find me, I'm the only one here with pink hair.

We all leave the building and get in lines of class groups, I stand close to the front of the line as Akira is right at the back. I run a hand through my hair and exhale.

It turned out the fire alarm was just a drill and there was no fire. We missed first lesson so we all go to our second and thankfully Akira wasn't in my lesson.

At break instead of going outside and getting stuck in a crowd of fangirls screaming for the night class and getting saved by Akira, I hide in the library getting into a book. Akira didn't find me there.

Last lesson was sadly with Akira and I know there is no way I'm getting outs this once since we have certain seats and my seat is next to Akira.

Sitting in my seat I am prepared to act normal like I should of done earlier, but, Akira never showed.

Sitting in my dorm room I look out of the window gripping hold of my cross necklace. I defiantly won't meet Aido tonight. I need some sleep. Putting my books away I tuck myself in under the duvet as I drift off into a scary dream.

**AYANE'S DREAM**

Running through the forest my face gets it by branches and thorns. My pink hair gets tangled up in a branch. I stop quickly to untangle it. Looking behind me I see the red eyes racing towards me.

I yank my hair as hard as I could, I was free. Running again I go down hill. I slip and slide the rest of the way down.

Standing up I have no time to brush the dirt off me. I start running once again making my way through the trees which seem now to have scary faces and they start whispering my name in a sort of spooky way.

I scream for them to go away or leave me alone. A tree laughs at me and moves one of its roots. I trip over landing on the floor. They all laugh at me and go silent as a harsh cold breeze washes over me.

Turning over the red eyes look straight at mine making me freeze on the spot. The owner of the red eyes places its hand on the side of my arms gripping them tightly making me wince.

The red eyes glance to my exposed neck. I try to pull away as I scream for help, but the hands on my arms squeeze tighter and its nails dig in. This person leans towards my neck licking my skin.

Its fangs pierce into my skin making me stop scream as I stare forward into the darkness. This person sucks harshly but loosen its grip on my arms. I places my hands on its shoulders, I try to push it away but find I have no more strength.

My blood boils, my heart beat slows down as my hands drop at my sides as this person sucks every last drop of my blood.

This person or 'Vampire' pulls away looking at me. I shut my eyes as I suddenly feel really tired. Opening my eyes I see the eyes are now blue and it is Aido's face. He was the one who suck away my blood.

He starts to cry "Ayane. I'm sorry" he hugs me tightly against him "Forgive me. I. I'm a monster"

He pulls away looking at me his eyes are still blue but his fangs are down.

"And" He starts his voice has changed into a demon echo "I want to eat every inch of you"

He leans in starting to chew at my neck, I sob as I drift off into darkness.

**END OF DREAM**

I wake up dripping with cold sweat. I touch my neck to find there is no holes or skin missing, all that is there is my necklace.

Having a shower before I get change I replay the dream inside my head, it seemed, sort of real, but Aido wouldn't do that to me, would he?

Walking down the corridor I see Akira smiling at me. "Morning" he says smiling at me. Walking up to him I hug him tightly "Sorry I ignored you"

"Ah it's fine" He hugs be back quickly before pulling me away patting my head "Aido was worried about you yesterday you know"

"Ah really?" I ask

He nods "You can catch him later, let's go learn stuff"

"That is very unlike you" I follow him down the corridor

"I am prepared!"

Maybe I will see Aido tonight.

I don't bring any books with me, I just take myself to the tree we meet. I remember that one night we were had a proper conversation.

Looking up I see Aido standing there in casual clothes holding a bunch of red roses.

"Hello stranger" I smile at him

He smiles back "Nice to see you again, would you accept a bunch of flowers and an evening with me?"

"I accept" I nod once

He puts the roses down and gives me a hug "Great to see you again, Ayane"
